Lucid Lady
She was content.
Her eyes fallowed the three figures in the water. Their dark heads showing prominently against the clear blue water.
They were dear to her, these three figures. In fact these three along with a fourth currently formed the center of her world.
One, the oldest of the trio, was the man she had loved for longer than she could remember. The younger two, the children she had born to the world three summers prior, were almost carbon copies of the older, their father. Casting a glance around the clearing she found her fourth loved one napping, her curly head pillowed by the gray fur on the one who had been her father's companion for many years prior.
She lay back in the grass. As she did her hand came to rest on her still flat stomach. She couldn't help but smile at the thought of the little one who would soon join her other four loved ones.
Yes, she was very content.
