Something that my mind can't erase //
Buffy quickly searched the busy street for a glimpse of him. She couldn't find Angel anywhere. There were ambulances and fire trucks parked everywhere. A lot of people had died and many more were injured, but they had survived. The Mayor was dead and the school was gone, but where was Angel? Her heart was beating wildly in her chest. What if he hadn't made it? Xander had told her that he had, but what if he was wrong? She was terrified and her heart was aching. She loved him so much, that she felt as though she was dying inside.
Smoke was bellowing from the remains of the school, it obscured her vision and made it hard to see, but she continued to search. She had to know if he was alright.
Suddenly the wind shifted and through the gaps of smoke she saw him. He was standing in the distance looking at her. Her eyes filled with tears, she didn't want to loose him . . . not like this.
He turned to walk away and Buffy let out a heart-wrenching sob. He didn't even say goodbye. She knew that he wasn't going to, but even so it still broke her heart into a thousand pieces.

I would've been right there
I'll always be the one who cares //
She loved him so much. Why did he have to leave her? They could have worked it out, they could have been happy. She had never felt this way about anyone in her whole life and the thought of not being with him was tearing hr apart.
As the tears continued to cascade down her cheeks, her vision blurred and she found it hard to breathe. Don't go . . . please don't go, she silently begged.
But it was no use . . . he was gone. He'd left her again.

Buffy wanted nothing more, than to just be with him. He was her one and only and never again would she love someone as much as she loved Angel. She couldn't bear to live her life without him in it.
She was scared. The prospect of living a life without Angel overwhelmed her. The future had never been so terrifying.
Would she ever fall in love again? Would she ever be happy? It was frightening not knowing. She had always thought that she would always be with Angel . . . and now, she didn't know what to believe in anymore.
But one thing was true . . . no matter what, she would never stop loving him.
