Hey all! This my first Yu Yu Hakusho poem, and I don't think it's very good, seeing as how it's my first one. But, I was really proud of it when I wrote it, but……well, here ya go!
Red and White Roses
Between red and white roses, an ongoing battle
An internal conflict that even time cannot rattle
The white rose, a fox, a silver-haired demon
The red rose, a boy, a quiet young human
Both forms are one, but at times fight for control
To become the dominant figure of the mind and the soul
The human, the boy, the compassionate one
Repents for the sins that the demon has done
The human must find the courage inside
If, against the other, he hopes to survive
Monstrous instincts, vivid emotions
Inhabit one soul, causing quite a commotion
One fights to protect, the other to kill
Both try to live on, based on sheer will
The human knows that he must contain
The beast within from causing more pain
But try as he might, it gets harder to fight
The strength of the thief, with each passing night
Not even the love of his family and friends
Can put this clash to a final end
So long as both forms exist in one mind
They will discover, it's harder to find
Security and comfort, the strength to live on
But without one or the other, both will be gone
Two different beings; the danger this poses
Is an eternal battle between the red and white roses
