To Awaken A Dream

I spent today wondering how life could be this way. I've tried to be up but instead I've always dropped lower, Always being tormented and humiliated,

The girl of my dreams has always been with another, I wish I could be at the top with all the luck, like someone that I know, I wish I could swing free in the air, but I'm drawn down to earth,

Suddenly I feel free with excitement, What's this new feeling inside me? It's not explainable, It's just always here, blinding me from all fear, I jump into the air and fall freely, With silky strands of web side by side,

This new feeling is so reassuring, Why couldn't I have this before? Why is this dream finally coming true?

The girl of my dreams is now by my side, We are happy and wondrous together, But she still does not know who I am or why,

How can I protect her from the world? How can I shield all of who I am to be with her?

Now I'm filled with a puzzlement from everything that I do, Now I feel awake and alive,

All these questions go unanswered, There are some distant answers to who I am and why, But first I need to Awaken from this dream,
