Ok, I updated this piece of work, since I learned how to use the poem format on FF.net

I loved to hear the rain at night
It woke me up inside
The sound refreshed all my senses
Made me come alive

The gentle pitter-patter
Soothed my inner soul
Lulled me softly into sleep
Let my body go

The way it pinged against the glass
Served to free my mind
Let it wonder to and frow
From the day's confines

Now I loath the mournful sound
I hate it and I fear it
Reminded of her haunting face,
I can only sense her spirit.
