He moved swiftly behind the trees. There were guards all over the compound, but they weren't the problem. The security system would be the toughie. It was relatively easy to get in, but it was next to impossible to get out. You almost had to be invisible..but that wasn't the problem. Much of his training was focused on invisibility techniques. It was why he was assigned to this job. No.invisibility wasn't the problem. The problem was her...

The girl's name was Kamiya.Kamiya Kaoru. She worked under lock and key everyday. She was a precog..She could see the future and she could detect an intrusion up to five days before the intruder actually came. But she didn't want to see the future. She didn't want to know what happened to the men who were caught. They were used for horrible experiments that haunted her dreams every night. All she wanted was to live far away from here. Away from the screams and torture in a place where her nightmares couldn't reach her. One name had haunted her dreams for some time now. The name of a red haired man with a cross shaped scar on his right cheek..Himura Kenshin..

He had studied her for the past three years trying to find a way to trick her. There had to be something that would throw her off. The future isn't permanent so why is it that her accuracy in precognition was 100%. It was impossible. There was no precog that could keep that 100% rating except for her. Why did he even take the time to find out about her? He was an assassin. It was his job to kill people. It was his hands that allowed red rain to fall nightly. Just as it was his job to escape her notice that night and take the life of the corporate scum that was killing hundreds of people secretly and performing his experiments.
He snuck around the fence. There were guards posted at every corner. He was expecting them to jump on him any moment. They should have gotten the signal that he would try to break in tonight five days in advanced. He was surprised that they hadn't jumped him yet. He advanced, his hand hovered on the handle of his sword. The other hand held his scabbard. "What's wrong? Those guard aren't moving. Maybe my data was wrong. Maybe she's not as powerful as they say. And maybe this will be easier than I thought" For some reason, a sense of disappointment hovered over him. He had been absorbed in studying her these last few months and now she might not even exist.a fairytale to scare off potential assassins.

She could feel him. He was outside the fence. She had known he would come for sometime now, but she couldn't bring herself to give him away. He was different from the rest of them. He radiated a sense of despair and sadness. She sense a deep guilt and compassion that she had never sensed in another assassin before. She connected to him and understood his pain. She also bore the guilt of handing over countless lives to those who controlled her. "Kenshin.." She didn't want to betray him. At least not yet.
