Prologue

Welcome to the story. This is my first, so I hope it's enjoyed by any that read its contents. As with all stories archived here, I do not own any of the characters, companies, nor am I affiliated with them in any way. This was written for entertainment purposes only: any and all relation to plots being explored by the owners is purely coincidental. Having gotten the disclaimer out of the way, I would invite everyone to express his or her opinion of my writing/ story ideas at the end of the reading. Unlike certain, unspecified organizations, I do appreciate any and all criticism and comments. Thank you for your time.

Through a haze her mind seemed to wander, back and forth. Finally, it became clear. The young girl's eyes glanced from her bloodstained hands to the ground, over to the boy whose chest contained a knife protruding from it. Pupils dilating with newfound comprehension, the female slowly stepped back, nearly tripping over nothing as her feet brushed the rough, abrasive sand.

The beach was normally deserted at this hour, but who would notice the two figures near the water's edge? It was an unusually cold evening, the stars shone brighter then they did most evenings, giant, merciless diamonds in the sky. The girl didn't notice. Her mind took a quick note that fear makes a person forget all kinds of things: what to do, what you feel, who you are.

Taking several paces back, the young woman now turned and ran, her breath the only sound louder then the waves crashing on the shore. That and the pounding of her heart ringing in her ears were all she could think of at that moment. That and one word: run.

Yes, short I know. More will be coming shortly, as I fine-tune what will be coming next. Again, all comments are very much appreciated. Even if you don't know what to say, I encourage anyone reading this to leave me a note of some sort, even if it's something saying that you read it. Your opinions do matter. Thank you for your time.
