Truth of a friend

Chapter one
I entered the elder's temple with fear because you only went into it if you were in trouble or they wanted to talk something over with you. With my luck; I'm in trouble, it's probably because of the practical joke Kevin, Mariah and I played on Mariah's older brother, Lee.
((Flash Back))
A dark haired Beyblader was practising with his beyblade at the legendary stone bowl of the village, when a second later he was drenched in ice cold water. He turned to see me and two other kids.
((End flash back))
Mariah and Kevin are good friends of mine but Lee is probably my best friend. I really like Mariah, or rather love Mariah, which ever one comes first. But, I don't know how to tell her, I don't even know if she feels the same way about me.
As I enter the temple, I see another friend, Gary; I wonder what he's doing here. He wasn't part of the joke. Come to think of it, all of us are here. By 'us' I mean Mariah, Lee, Kevin, Gary, and me (Rei), the whole White Tiger beyblading team, I'm the leader so I guess it can't be that I'm in trouble because Gary wouldn't be here, but then what could it be?
"Gary, Lee, Rei, Mariah and Kevin." Says one of the elders there are seven? Yeah I'll make it seven. "You are all here to be presented with bit beasts today and one of you shall receive the legendary White Tiger bit beast, Drigger."
Lee now had a look happiness on his face, we were all sure that he was going to get Drigger as it was past down through many generations of his family, unless Mariah got Drigger instead, but in the great prophecy of this village, it says that 'the only female White Tiger will get the legendary Mountain Cat bit beast, Galux.' I don't really know myself but I'm sure Lee will get Drigger; I can feel it.
