The building collapsed, just as building are wont to do when wired with explosives. Something was different though. The explosions weren't as controlled as they should have been. Weiss had already beat a hasty retreat back to the Koneko. The four members of Schwarz were still running for their lives.

It happened in slow motion. As the assassins sprinted across the lobby to the exit and safety, the chandelier fell from the ceiling. No one had time to react, as Naoe Nagi, the youngest member of the team, was crushed by the chandelier. Shards of broken glass invaded his body en masse, and left him helpless. The overwhelming amount of pain he was in disabled his psychokinetic talent. All he could do was scream. It would be the last utterance, as the blood flowing out of his body also took his life.

Brad Crawford, the unofficial leader of Schwarz, was still running. His precognitive vision had told him that something terrible was to happen on this particular outing, but was vague as to what exactly would occur. He heard the crash and an inhuman scream that took him a momemnt to discover that Nagi was trapped under the giant glass fixture.

"NAGI!" Brad screamed. He started to turn around, only to dodge out of the way of another large piece of ceiling falling. A wall tumbled, and blocked the distance between the dark-haired American and his younger Japanese counterpart. He had no choice but to turn and run. This was business. Better to cut losses at one than to get emotions involved and lose two assassins in one night, he told himself.

The next morning, Omi Tsukiyono completed his mission report for Kritiker, Weiss' agency. As he told the computer to send his finished report, he felt a bit uneasy. It was obvious Schwarz had botched something. But what could it be?

At the same time, Brad was completing his write-up of the evening for Esset. They would not be happy in losing a psychokinetic, as they're hard to come by. Hopefully Weiss would not learn of this new weakness and flaunt it to their advantage. As he clicked "send," Brad closed his eyes and sighed. He couldn't help but shed a tear. As much as he wanted the four of them to remain emotionally unattached, he couldn't prevent it. He couldn't even stop himself for feeling a pang of grief, and regret, that he couldn't have done more for the young boy.

Omi was still feeling uneasy. He tried hacking into Esset's system, wondering how Schwarz reported the previous night's mission. He was surprised when he cracked the code fairly easily, and began browsing for the mission report.

Omi read one paragraph of the mission report from Brad and could not read any more. "Mission failed. Naoe is dead. Was killed accidentally when explosions were not set properly. Will need new PK ASAP," was the opening line, and it actually sickened Omi. How could they just dismiss that one of their own was dead? Did they not have emotions at all? It frustrated Omi so much that tears began to form. He closed the window on his computer, shuffled to his bed, and cried.

Omi had seen Nagi before in missions, and there was something about the young psychokinetic that Omi sensed. Nagi didn't like to kill, Omi told himself. He was only in Schwarz because there was nothing else for him to do. And not only out of kindness or pity, but because Omi felt attracted to Nagi, the blonde wanted to try and help Nagi. It was too late now. The young Weiss assassin cried through the night, for the lost soul, and for the lost love he never came to know.
