All About Loving You by real-circus

Hakkai looked like an angel like this, with his brown hair plastered in a most arousing manner on his sweat-slicked fair forehead. It was another night like this, when he would awake, with the young man at his side in bed, sleeping without a sound. Gojyo loved his soft, hardly audible breathing, and the way his slender hands would tangle into his somehow when he was asleep… he loved everything about Hakkai. Everything.

He only woke up at nights after their love-making, because... dreaming was just a frigging waste of time. Well, it was if you had a youthful beauty next to you, and when he was actually yours. Hakkai was his everything—Hakkai could take his life away if he wanted to, and that was plainly why Gojyo was secretly trying to have the upper hand in their relationship, and Hakkai let him.

Long eyelashes fluttered open sleepily. The emerald eyes behind them held so much secrecy, so much hidden love and affection he had tried not to feel again because of a past lover. Those bashful eyes settled on him, and since that moment, Gojyo didn't want them to be looking anywhere else. He wanted Hakkai only looking at him, only seeing him.

"What time is it?" Hakkai asked groggily, his bad eye squinting slightly.

"Does it matter?" Gojyo replied, stealing a kiss from his lover.

Every time he looked at the brunette, Gojyo saw something new, and that made him, if possible, higher than before, and made him want the man more. Hakkai had always been there for him—always. They'd been to hell and back again, and through it all, Hakkai was his best friend. Yes, that was how love was supposed to be.

"What… what's the matter?" Gojyo wiped a stray tear from the porcelain face gently. "I'm sorry if I did something wrong…"

"No, no you didn't do anything wrong, Gojyo. I'm just… well…" Hakkai chuckled softly, covering his mouth politely. "Never mind. I won't say it. It's stupid."

"Nothing you said to me was ever stupid, Hakkai. Even if it was, I'd be too in love to realize it."

Hakkai smiled warmly. It was a smile he reserved every night just for him, and that made Gojyo feel special in a way. No, it wasn't that fake grin he put on when he woke up to Goku's whining for food or Sanzo's cigarette smoke… it was a real, true smile, that Hakkai kept solely for him and him only. It was beautiful. The way his lips curled upwards to form that tiny little love gesture, it all was so thrilling to Gojyo. Hakkai was a beauty—his beauty, to be exact.

"Alright," Hakkai finally continued. "I… I love you… so much. I love you so much it hurts inside, Gojyo. I thought I'd never feel that sort of thing again when Kanan left me. Now it hurts physically, too. Incredible, isn't it, how love can make a person so blind?"

"…Do I hurt you, Hakkai?" Gojyo saw his own claret eyes reflected in Hakkai's soothing viridian. "Do I often hurt you like this? If I am, I need you to tell me… don't keep it all inside…"

"Don't you get it, Gojyo?" Hakkai smiled, placing his hand on Gojyo's bare chest. "It's nothing that you have done to me… it's what I feel because of you…" He hugged the warm body closer, pressing his head to Gojyo's neck. "It's what I feel because I love you."

And now when Gojyo looked back at what his miserable life has been coming to, he realized it was all about loving the man before him, and he was content with that, and the miserable part of his life just faded away like a memory.
