Really short one...but the idea just grabbed me by the head ;)
Always With You
Sakura flopped on her bed, wishing for nothing more than sleep to take her quickly. The day had been miserable, with everything around her reminding her of Syaoran. Thus, she tried to avoid everything. Kero, the Cards, her brother, her friends...even Tomoyo was left without an explanation as to why she was so upset at school.
Burying her face into her pillow, Sakura sobbed quietly, until the gentle hand of sleep did, at last, take her.
Sakura sat up in bed with a start. Glancing around her room, she noticed the windows had blown open, causing the dark, cloud-covered sky to seep into her room.
"Hoee...it sure is dark!" Sakura thought, before realizing how silly that sounded.
Bringing her knees up to her chest, she circled her arms around them, and rocked slowly back and forth. "It's already been a year since he left..." she sighed. "I...I want to be with him...to feel his love again."
Several minutes passed before Sakura realized she had been silently crying. Wiping her nose on her sleeve, she opened her tear stained eyes and looked around her room once more. Her eyes had adjusted to the darkness gradually...and she gasped in shock.
He was there.
There, standing in a dark corner of her room.
Wearing the same costume he'd always worn when they were capturing cards together.
He was...there.
"Sya...Syaoran?" she gasped.
Syaoran padded quietly to Sakura's bed. His elaborate headdress hid his eyes from view, but the moment Sakura felt his hand wipe her tears away, all traces of sadness melted away, as she was overcome by the happiness and contentment that swelled through her body.
"My dear Sakura," Syaoran whispered, ever so softly, "your eyes are too beautiful to be hidden by such tears."
"Syaoran...I've missed you...so very much..." Sakura sighed as she was guided back to laying down.
"My dearest Sakura...you are having a sweet dream right now." Syaoran whispered as he ran his fingers gently through her hair. "Please know that, wherever you are, no matter how far apart we are...I am always watching over you. I will always love you, and nothing could ever change that."
"Syaoran...I love you too...so much..." Sakura sighed, the touch of her true love slowly lulling her back to sleep.
Syaoran smiled. "I hope Sakura has more dreams with me in them, so I can be with her more."
Sakura reached out and took Syaoran's hand gently. "Sing to me...please...sing me into a sleep of sweet dreams, my love."
Syaoran could only gently rub Sakura's hand for a few minutes; he was so overcome by the emotion of the moment to say anything. After a few minutes had passed, though, he could tell Sakura was already asleep.
"You make me happier than anyone else could, my love. May you have the sweetest of dreams tonight, and every night." Silent as a cat, Syaoran leapt out of Sakura's window, climbed down the tree, and stood on the sidewalk.
Two tear drops landed silently on the pavement."I'll sing a song...just for you, Sakura-chan.."
"Don't you make me happy, don't you have a good time..."
