The Princess curtsied, blushing slightly at the sight of her possible suitor.
"Good evening My Lord. How was your trip?"
The Prince standing before her smiled kindly. "Please, there's no need for such formalities. Call me Seifer."
Blushing even more, the Princess looked up at the Prince. He was very handsome: blonde haired, blue-eyed, with a strong appearance, helped along by his reputation for fierceness on the battlefield.
They were standing in the middle of a garden, next to a lovely looking fountain made up of two Faeries standing on delicate feet facing away from each other.
"Would you like to sit here, Rinoa?" He asked, motioning to one of the benches positioned in front of the fountain.
The Princess nodded, and they sat down.
"So, Rinoa, what do you like to do for entertainment?" He asked, smiling slightly at her bewildered look.
"Me, Your High- I mean, Seifer?" She looked into the depths of his cerulean eyes and blinked. Never had any of her previous suitors took an actual interest in what she liked.
"Do you see another stunningly beautiful Princess sitting right here in front of me?"
"Um… I- I mean to say…" She stuttered, flustered at his familiarity with her.
He grinned,
and suddenly, to her surprise, leaned forward and pecked her on the cheek.
'I must look like a tomato.' She thought, feeling herself turn redder by the
second.
"Princess Rinoa?" Said the Prince, looking suddenly serious.
"Y-yes?"
"Would you do me the honor of being my wife?"
Her dark brown eyes filled with tears, not of joy, but of uncertainty.
"Have you spoken to my father about this?"
"No, I desired to know what you wanted before I made any kind of attempt to speak to him."
She looked again into his soulful eyes, her breath catching slightly in her chest. She could never deny this man of anything.
She felt a warm feeling sweep through her entire body. This feeling… it was certainty, that he would never bring harm to her, and that he loved her, and that… she loved him back.
"Yes," She said, and surprising them both, leaned in and kissed him.

Rinoa sighed to herself, remembering that those memories and emotions were things of the past, and that she shouldn't dwell on things that had changed so much.
