Goku lay down on the plateau that stood overshadowing the valley
below. Behind him Piccolo, Krillen, Yamcha, and Gohan stood carefully
watching.
"What's he trying to do, blow up the planet?" Yamcha asked in a soft whisper. Goku shook his head, his eyes never moving from the warrior they watched.
Vegeta stood down in the valley with his back to them. Vegeta began to power up as if he were angry at something.
'Why is Vegeta here?' Goku thought. Then the unexpected happened. Vegeta transformed into a Super Saiyan then into an ascended Saiyan. His power began to rise higher and higher.
"Look at me now you over grown lizard! Look at what I've become! You can't hold me down anymore!" Vegeta's screams began to get more intense as he powered up even more. Then the wind began to blow against Vegeta's face. A smile crossed Vegeta's face as he stared into the wind.
"Father I understand now and I forgive you" Vegeta said into the wind. The wind blew gently against Vegeta and Goku and the others heard a voice speak.
"Welcome home my son" it rumbled. Vegeta smiled slightly. The wind blew into Vegeta's face for several minutes before it died away. Vegeta's smile widened then he blasted off toward the Capsule Corp. at peace at last with his past.
