Disclaimer: Don't own the stuff, so don't ask for any slashy episodes. This fits into chapter thirteen, where Blake and Carl are alone in the toilets.
"We need to talk"
Blake gulped at those words, and with a surprising strength of mind did not call Miranda ands Darren back. It was bad enough Carl knew he had had a crush on him was bad enough, but to know that it was this serious, well that was unbelievable. He was positive that Carl had imagined to this to be a more mutual friendship thing, not a five minutes behind the bike shed sort of thing.
"Carl...I'll understand if you don't wa..." He was cut of as Carl firmly put a tanned hand over his mouth. He could feel calluses and more than a few traces of scars on the palm.
"Let me talk Blake." Carl sighed, eyes becoming serious, more so than Blake had ever seen them. "This whole thing was for me, wasn't it? You wanted it to be like Ginger and whoever her crush is at the time is." Mouth still firmly covered Blake nodded.
Carl suddenly turned exasperated, "Why on earth didn't you says something earlier," Blake felt a shiver go down his spine as he felt Carl's eyes boring into his. If this wasn't such a sensitive situation he could have fallen into his arms. Or even better, given him another kiss. The hand came slowly away from his mouth, but Blake could have sworn that they lingered there for just a moment.
"I was scared," Blake whispered, wanting Carl desperately not to look at him. "When I was younger, I was obsessive about you. I tried to convince myself that it was all about the eyeball and I disliked you when any offer of friendship was rejected. I actually succeeded, but I was just masking it. It got worse as well," he smiled softly, "It took all my will not to do something in class. I even tried to forget you existed, worship, in a way someone else. Guess it didn't work."
He looked firmly at his knees, idly plucking the fabric. Then a pair of strong arms wrapped themselves around his waist and he was brought up to a strong chest. Startled, he looked up. Carl's face had his usually mixture of fun, smugness and sheer brilliance, but also something else, something that was positively electrifying. With a swiftness that almost scared Blake, Carl kissed his firmly. Only unlike his almost chaste kiss, this one seemed to almost devour him. He gasped as Carl and he parted a slight narcotic smile on his face.
"Whoa," Blake breathed, forgetting all his proper up bringing for that moment. He grinned at Carl, "that was..whoa!" He cocked his head slighty as Carl didn't say anything, becoming slightly worried.
"So, we going steady or not?" Carl chuckled as his answer came with an embrace that nearly knocked the air out of him.
"We should get going Blakey-boy, the others will begin to think I've killed you, or something." He walked to the door, but paused as Blake put a hand on his arm.
"Do we tell them?" asked Blake, Carl thought for a moment, the possibilities running through his mind.
"Nah, let them guess."
Well my first fic that was finished under ten minutes. I'm sort of hoping for reviews here so don't disappoint and I'll have something else for you. See ya!
