Jean, Cyclopes, Shadow Cat, and Nightcrawler followed behind Logan and the Professor as they carried a limp Rogue to the X-Van.
As they drove away Magma called out "Wait! What about us? Great, they forgot us, how are we going to get home?"
Iceman smirked pointing to the X-Jet. "We can't just leave the X-Jet in the middle of the road now can we?"
"Are you serious?", Bezerker asked. "Last time you tried to fly that thing the Military almost shot you down. Not to mention you could have killed yourself, Jubilee, Sam, Lance, and Kitty! If it hadn't been for Kitty…."
"How else are we supposed to get home? Fine, you can walk Ray but Bobby and I are taking the jet. How about you Amara?" Roberto said.
"Well I certainly don't want to walk home. And our uniforms sure attract attention with police cars and the big fuss about hating mutants I don't want to be hauled off to jail for no reason"
"Alright alright I'll go! You have a point", Bezerker said.
Bobby got into the pilot seat.
"Whoa wait a minute I think I should fly this thing since you didn't do so well last time", Bezerker complained.
"Yeah I wanna fly it!", Magma said.
"I always practice flying the simulation and I have the most experience", Bobby yelled back.
"Yeah experience getting us nearly killed!", Bezerker argued back.
"I say we draw straws to decided", Roberto said.
"We don't even have any straws", Magma yelled back. "I'm flying this thing!"
"Rock, paper, scissors, shoot then. I wanna go home already so can we please just decide already!", Roberto said, trying to get on with things.
"Fine. Rock, paper, scissors, shoot", Amara, Bobby, and Ray said at the same time.
Amara had rock while Ray and Bobby had scissors.
"I won! I get to fly the jet!", Amara yelled out happily.
"No way are we letting a girl fly the X-Jet", Bobby said.
"She's better than you! You're just upset you lost", Ray said.
"Are not" "Are too" "Are not"
"Shut up both of you! Amara please take us home", Roberto pleaded.
Bobby slowly got out of the pilot seat. Amara got in behind the controls and started the X-Jet up. Bobby sat next to her and Roberto and Ray sat behind them. Amara started raising into the air.
"Close the door Amara close the door!", Ray yelped.
"Whoops, forgot about that", Amara said as she closed the door.
"We're gonna die, we're all gonna die", Roberto said putting his head in his hands.
"Yeehaa!" Amara yelled as the X-Jet went spinning every which way.
"Stop! My stomach. WATCH OUT FOR THAT BUILDING!", Bobby yelled.
Amara swerved out of the way just in time. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
"Can't you keep this jet steady?", Bobby asked.
"I'm doing the best I can. Don't forget the jet crashed after Rogue threw it to the ground so it's a little damaged", Amara said back.
The jet lunged down.
"I can't stop it!" Amara panicked.
Bobby, thinking fast, opened the door and iced a loop for them to fly back up on.
"Phew. I got it now", Amara said.
"Famous last words", Roberto muttered.
Finally the new recruits parked the jet where it belonged. The shook up mutants walked wearily down the ramp and into the mansion.
"Oh yea! That was so fun. I was great wasn't I? Wasn't I? We should do that again sometime", Amara said.
Nobody answered her.
