Envy of The Stars

The stars are beautiful tonight
As they always seem to be
I gaze into the endless void
That once was part of me

I stand tall, strong and proud
So they can see I'm ready
To venture out among the clouds
While staying calm and steady

I will be a captain
The finest ever to sail
Across Altaire and Orion
Never shall I fail

Bringing in the Pirates
And other solar scum
I'll be known as Jim "The Hawk"
And earn a goodly sum

Perched atop the Benbow Inn
Pondering starry sky
I realize it's all dream
And heave a mournful sigh

Someday, maybe someday
I'll learn enough to be
A gallant Captain, brave and true
With stars to envy me
