Disclaimer: I own nothing pertaining to the Gilmore Girls show.
AN/ I'm not quite sure who the pairing's are going to be, yet.
It was 8:30 on a Saturday morning, when Lorelai looked out of the window and saw the for sale sign in the yard next door.
Rory walked up behind Lorelai, and peeked over her shoulder, "Huh. I can't believe he's selling the Oasis."
"I know. I never thought it would happen."
"I wonder who our new neighbor will be." Rory said.
"Pretty exciting."
"Why?" Rory wanted to know.
"Because, it's not very often that we get to change the part on the Stars Hollow welcome sign that list the population of the town." Lorelai told her.
"True."
"Well, let's go to Luke's and get coffee." Lorelai stated.
"Okay." Rory pulled on her shoes and followed Lorelai out the front door.
"So, should we go pull a brochure?" Lorelai asked.
"Why?"
"Because, it's F-U-N!" Lorelai exclaimed.
"Since when?"
"Since I started spelling the word fun?" Lorelai guessed.
"O-K." Rory grinned.
"Were you spelling okay?"
"Yeah." Rory said.
"You can't spell okay."
"Why not?" Rory asked.
"Because, the word okay already sounds like you're spelling it! So how am I supposed to tell if you're still playing the spelling game or if you're just saying okay?"
"You can't." Rory informed her.
"I refuse to believe that." Lorelai said.
"Let it go!"
"Never!" Lorelai cried.
Rory shook her head, "Are we going to pull a brochure or not?"
"Now it just seems stupid."
"Then let's just go to Luke's. I'm having coffee withdrawals." Rory replied.
"Then you win, and I lose. I can't let that happen!" Lorelai declared.
Rory rolled her eyes, "Just go pull a brochure."
Lorelai smiled, "I win!"
She was bending down to pull a brochure when a realtor pulled up to the house, and rolled down her window, "Are you interested in the house?"
Lorelai cut her eyes at Rory as she dropped the lid of the brochure box, without taking a flier.
She mouthed the word 'Run' and took off running past the car, with Rory trailing a few steps behind her.
They arrived at Luke's out of breath.
Lorelai flattened herself against the wall, turning her head slightly so she could see the road.
Rory dropped into the nearest chair, gasping for air.
"What is she doing?" Luke asked walking over to Rory.
"Running from a realtor."
Luke shook his head, "I don't wanna know."
"I couldn't tell you anyway. You already know to much, if I say more she'll be after you too." Lorelai said, finally deciding it was safe to sit down.
The realtor passed in her silver SUV.
Lorelai held up one of Luke's menus to her face, until the realtor was gone.
Luke shook his head again, and returned to his place behind the counter.
