Kurt Wagner swayed to the hymn from his perch high in the rafters of the cathedral-like church. He closed his eyes slowly, focusing only on the music of the choir and nothing else.

The music had always soothed him, although he'd been shunned from many a church due to his appearance. But now they couldn't shun him, for how could one shun what one does not know is present?

He shifted his weight from his clawed feet to his body, settling down in a sitting position and humming lightly along, forgetting his situation.

Down below, a small child near the back of the pews perked his ears up and listened.

A few of the adults muttered "God!", while more muttered things along the lines of "birds" and "squirrels".

Kurt's eyes snapped open, and he was drawn from the trance-like state in which the hymns had put him.

"Good God! Eyes!" a man exclaimed. A couple people touched their shoulders, forehead, and chest in the shape of the Cross.

Frightened, the blue silhouette teleported down, out the door, and into the branches of a tree, where he assumed he couldn't be seen.

Taking a view of his surroundings, he disappeared right back to the mansion, not looking back at the angered and shocked Roman Catholics dropping their pace behind him.
