Battle

A man trudges alone up ahead,
Seeking for one to give him aid.
Broken blade by his side,
Looking for a place to hide.
Snow blankets the ground,
Walking in circles round and round,
A roar is heard from the distance,
Time to test his competence.
Raised his hand and summoned a goddess;
Eyes glittering wild and wide with madness.
The goddess calls forth a shimmering sphere,
Banishes the beast from this land here.
Silence and peace is restored again,
Fall to his knees; hear the showering rain.
All hope is gone, lost, his mind cried despair,
He then sees a light, a mega flare.
Snow - God's frozen tears,
Reflects the light and all his fears.
His hand grows cold, his body numb.
Was he to die here and never see the sun?
Tired, his eyelids closes,
Black blinds his vision of a field of roses.
His last final breath of the cold frosty air,
He's at rest now, in a place so fair.
