Draco smirked at himself in the mirror. He was looking more attractive today than he ever had. Well, if that was possible. He was on a date with a rather attractive blonde supermodel. Draco Malfoy "Ladies' Man" was going to make another public appearance with another one of his many beautiful dates and make the newspapers again.
Mr. "England's Hottest Under Twenty-Five" escorted Ms. Valerie Cheer into the very prestigious restaurant, sat down at his usual table, and ordered the most expensive champagne on the menu.
"So, Draco, how is work at the ministry?" The blonde smiled and sipped from her glass.
"Well, I'm busy, being the youngest Auror in history, you know." He smiled at the nearby millionaires and then turned back to Valerie.
"Busy, Draco?"
"Well, not too busy for you, Love."
"Of course not, Draco."
He smiled at her and took her hand in his. "You're so beautiful."
Valerie smirked and looked down at her plate. "You really think so? Other people tend to disagree."
"How could they?" Draco figured the more sincere he acted, the more dates he received. It couldn't hurt to be seen with this beauty.
"Well, you know. We Weasleys aren't always considered beautiful."
Draco sputtered and set his glass down a little harder than he meant to. "Did you say Weasley?"
His date looked back at him with fierce green eyes. "Why, yes, Draco. Don't you recognize me? I was in love with you for three years at Hogwarts, and you were only mean to me. It was the day of your graduation, when I saw you walking down the Great Hall in your graduation robes that I knew that in some way I was going to get back at you for all the misery you've put me through. I thought about it for a year, Draco and I finally figured out that you would somehow sip a tasteless potion from your glass and meet Valerie, a supermodel. You would see her as tall, blonde, beautiful, a nice ornament for any man. Other people would see her as Virginia Weasley, redhead and freckled, stubborn, and short. Draco, you should really catch up on your reading." Virginia pulled four magazines out of her purse and handed them across the table. "These, you might recognize were taken on our previous dates by the paparazzi, which I had conveniently informed about our date. So, Draco, now that the public has seen you with a girl that you wouldn't touch in a lifetime, what do you do now? I swore that I would make you suffer, you and your valuable reputation, and see how I have succeeded. You, Draco Malfoy, are finished."
Ginny stood up, winked at him, and waltzed out the door, her skirts flowing from behind her. The doorman opened the door to the car waiting outside for her and she was off, as quickly as if she had dissapperated.
Draco stood to watch her leave. For once in his life he was speechless. A dozen thoughts rushed through his mind. "What should he do? How should he react? What would his father do when he saw the pictures?," and most of all, "When had that Weasley become so darned attractive?" Draco studied the pictures in front of him. He had to go after her, to save his reputation, to save himself, and to see what he was missing out on those three years at Hogwarts. Who was this girl he thought he knew so well? He had to have her.
