Prologue…. Everything seems and looks like a dream at first, but you'll get a sense of what a "dream" feels like……..
Aria….Aria….can you hear me?
Little voices all around her, giggling and laughing. Voices that sounded so faraway, and yet it seemed to be calling to her just from above the dirt road.
The little girl walked on and on through the endless forest. Somewhere deep inside her heart, she knew she was dreaming. Her aqua eyes couldn't seem to focus , and nothing seemed to connect. She stopped momentarily to touch a tree, and her hand went right through it. She dipped her head to the side, staring at the Maple in confusion. What was going on? She waved her hand to make sure it wasn't an illusion. Nope. Indeed, her hands can go through the tree.
Aria….Aria….why aren't you following us? What are you doing? C'mon, you HAVE to follow us. We have something important to tell you….
This time the voices seemed to have came from her mind. And they sounded so serious. Aria had no idea what to believe. This was supposed to be a dream. Yet it felt like they were the ones that were controlling her, and everything around her. Something was wrong. Really wrong.
A gust of wind blew past her. Aria took it as a sign that this was a signal from the voices. She continued walking on the path, trying to follow the wind, which was barely there. The not so imaginative laughter and giggles resumed. Aria sighed. She wanted to get this over with. When was the dirt road going to end? She had to know what the voices were going to tell her…….
From a distance, she managed to pick up a blurry outline of a looming castle. Hmm….a castle? In her dreams? Wanting to know what was in wait for her there, Aria ran as fast as she could., through a big blur because her blurry vision couldn't pick up on anything.
She stopped in front of the castle minutes later, leaning over and gasping for breath. She needed to calm down. She could do this. This was just a dream, just a dream…..She'll wake up and find herself in her bed, cozy and warm…And she'll just be a little shaken up…….
Aria….go into the castle. Go on……..
The voices connected with her again. Aria took in another deep breath, putting a hand over her racing heart.
This was it….there was something significant in this dream. Something she was supposed to know, meant to see…
She went in…
