AUTHOR'S NOTE: Yeah, uh huh, let's put my favorite character into a fic with a song that I woke up one morning to and couldn't get out of my head. Sound good? Okay. Actually this works out perfectly because I just saw "Wild At Heart" again and came back and completely redid this fic. Oz was in his dorm room packing.

So lately, been wondering

All he could think about was the hurt and pain that he had caused Willow.

Who will be there to take my place

The whole Veruca thing was stupid. A stupid decision he made. A decision who's consequences he couldn't face.

When I'm gone you'll need love

With that one night, with that one morning.

To light the shadows on your face

He had hurt Willow more than ever before, and he couldn't live with himself.

He knew he couldn't face her ever again.

Then between the sand and stone, could you make it on your own

He knew. He knew she was right.

What happened only a year ago had made them stronger.

As if it were a test for their relationship. He thought they had passed.

Oz continued packing whatever he could into his small duffle bag.

Then I hope there's someone out there

He was interrupted by a knock.

Willow came in, and they talked. The short of the short was that he was leaving.

His mind was racing. It was too much, and he had to get away.

"Oz? Don't you love me?"

"My whole life? I've never loved anything else."

He kissed her. A kiss full of pain. A kiss that conveyed their entire relationship up until that very moment.

One more gaze into beautiful blue eyes, and he was gone.

He slung his bag over his shoulder and swept out the door.

I know now, just quite how,

Not a look back at his one true love.

My life and love may still go on

He hurried down the stairs and out the door, into the bright morning sunshine.

Flung open the door to the blue van and tossed the bag in.

He climbed into the seat and sat, contemplating his decision, doubt plaguing his thoughts.

"No time," he thought, violently fighting tears.

Oz started the car, and glided down the road.

A/n: You don't have to tell me how unoriginal I am because all my fics are song fics. Believe me, I already know *g* But I'm currently working on a couple of projects (about four I think) that I just can't get out of my head. Now if I could only finish my finals sooner, lol ;D
