Rory's POV
Oh my god. It's been a year. Wow. I can't believe I lived a year without him. I know I said I wouldn't pine, but I can't help it. I want him.

3rd Person POV
Rory was sitting at the counter in Luke's. It was Saturday and she was home for the weekend. Luke was behind the counter and Lorelai was working at the Dragonfly. She wouldn't be home all weekend.
Rory was deep in thought when she suddenly got up quickly and walked in the direction of the Gilmore residence.
She walked briskly into her old room and searched it. She finally found what she was looking for in a drawer of her old desk. It looked like a journal. She turned to the last page and it read:
Dear Journal
Jess is gone. I know I loved him. I'm sure of it. I even wanted to give myself completely to him. Just not at a party in someone else's bedroom. Luke knows where he is. Well, he thinks he does. I don't know. I don't think he went back to New York. What made him leave? Was it because Luke wouldn't let him stay in the apartment if he didn't re-do his senior year? Was it because I didn't do it with him in the bedroom? Was it because he didn't graduate? I dunno. I wish I did. Well, this is the last entry I'll put in you. I start a new chapter in my life now. There'll be no high-school sweethearts or bad boy rebels.

Suddenly there was a tap on the window. She walked caustiously towards it. She gasped when she saw who it was. But then she grabbed the widow and tore it open. She kissed him. At first he was surprised but then he responded to her touch. They continued to go all the way that night.

Jess woke her up in the middle of the night. "I just came to say goodbye." He's gone.

Rory's POV
Oh my god. I can't be. It can't be his.

Rory grabbed the pregnancy test off the shelf in New Haven, She took two, just in case.
When she got home she went straight to the bathroom. She came out pale faced and shaking with the test that was pink.
She was pregnant, and it was Jess'.
