Buffy was slowly walking down the alley. Her senses were on full alert, her hearing was acute and she could hear the faintest sound. The wind started to pick up. She lifted her hand to brush away a couple of stray hairs from her face. The wind blew a an across her path. She carefully stepped over it making sure that she made no noise. She was like a hunter searching for its prey.
A vampire was nearby, she could sense it, she could feel its presence in her bones. The hairs on the back of her neck began to rise and she quickened her pace.
It was then that she heared it. A scream echoed through the night shattering the fragille silence.
Buffy started to run in the direction of the scream. When she arrived at the cause of the scream she saw a male vampire which was feeding off a woman. He had her pinned up against the wall.
Buffy walked up to him and taped him on the shoulder,
"Didn't your mamma teach ya that it rude to play with your food?"
The vampire growled at her and lunged. Buffy pulled out a stake from her waistband of her trousers her prepared to fight. *this should be fun* she thought to herself.
The vampire tried to grab her, buffy easily threw him into a nearby wall. He managed to get up. Buffy punched him in the face breaking his nose, blood squirted down his face.
Buffy risked a glance behind her to make sure that the girl was alright. The girl was leaning against the wall crying softly to herself. She had blood dripping down her neck from where the vampire had bitten her. The girl couldn't have been older than 16 or 17.
Buffy turned back around to face the vampire in front of her and kicked him squarely in the chest. He fell smashing into some nearby trash cans.
Buffy bent down and staked him in the chest. He exploaded into ashes, and the wind caried them into the night. Buffy stood up and put her stake back into her wasteband.
"You alright?" buffy asked the girl.
"Yeah i think so" the woman touched her neck and then looked at her blood on her finger tips. Then asked "What was that thing?" .
"That was a vampire"
"Oh god, I've heard rumours about sunnydale, but i never imagened that they were true"
Buffy could smell the mentalicness of the womens blood on the air.
"You ok?" The girl asked. Buffy was completely silent, she was staring at the womans neck.
"You ok?" the girl asked again. Buffy looked up at the woman. Suddenly her eyes turned yellow and her face changed into that of a vampires. The girl screamed as buffy bit her. Eventually she stopped and after a few moments buffy let her drop to the floor.
Buffy wiped her lips with her sleave and allowed her face to return to normal. Buffy walked out of the alley and into the night.
However she failed to notice another vampire. The one that was standing on the roof opposite. The vampire who had witnessed the whole scene. The vampire who was smilling to himself while smoking a fag.
