JADED
-by Lady Jo-
Silent. In a crystal, locked.
A figure of shame now, ridiculed, mocked.
Eternal sleep? Ha! Not a chance.
So his mind slowly turns to unfufilled romance.
He, the guardian. Nobility ranking him higher.
She, the goddess. Princess of the fire.
Blazing rows and passion's flame,
Yet never spoken of again.
Dead. That's what he said.
Next, the sorceress, who killed old love cold.
He, the servant, who received powers untold.
But within him lurked ineplicable fear,
Something within her stopped him getting near.
Dead. That's what she said.
Truly jaded now, he survived alone
And yet the sea-child had free access to his home.
Though he was cold, only shreds left of his heart,
When she was there he still enjoyed life, in part.
Which leads to the question now filling his head:
If they weren't both, essentially, dead
Under fairer circumstances, would they,
perhaps, should they, have wed?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My first real attempt at poetry, so sorry if it sucked. Hee! I made it
all rhyme! (Sorry, I've been playing FF:VIII recently and Selphie got
engraved in my brain...)
Anyway, with a bit of luck you would've managed to worked out who
the people were and even if you didn't I hope you enjoyed it. Please
review!
Until next time! -Jo/Lady Jo/Jadeite no Seishi Uoza/ect, ect
