Author's Note: I just finished reading "Romeo and Juliet" for English class, and adored the play. So, I chose an option on an extra credit list of writing a series of letters between Romeo and Juliet. I am only going to put up my first one, because it is my best one and basically sums up everything. I mean, you all know what had happened next, right? Anyway, enjoy! Read and review, and no flames! Thanks!

Disclaimer: I do not own Romeo, Juliet, or anyone other character mentioned. This letter is not from the play, and I do own them.

Dearest Juliet,

Death is beautiful compared to this sentence of banishment. Being deprived from thee is like being deprived from the world. I am banished from the world when I am without you. Deprived from thy beauty, death may be a less harsh sentence.

I yearn to see thee, yet I am afraid. Thy anger of your cousin's death, because of me, is even worse then banishment. I would much rather have had Tybalt killed me then to have thee kill the love thy said thy once felt for me. I would even rather have been exiled from Verona, then to be exiled from thy heart. Thy heart is my world.

Sweet Juliet, please tell me and please do not be angry. If thy hatred is strong and everlasting, then my life will be no more.

If my words art not thy feelings, then I hope to see thee again soon. I know it is almost impossible, but I promise I will find a way.

Love Always,
Romeo
