Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or the rights to Simple Plan's One Day (Possibly one of the greatest songs ever written) so just in case you're thinking about suing me don't; I don't have any money anyway.

~*~Harry's view's on living with the Dursleys~*~
Sometimes this house feels like a prison
That I just can't leave behind
Seventeen-year-old Harry Potter stood in his small room thinking about how nice it would be to leave this house forever. He thought about the coming year at Hogwarts; he's was finally graduating this year. Soon he'd be able to leave and live on his own as a legal wizard.
There's so many rules I got to follow
'cuz you can't let go
But, then who was he kidding the Dursley's would find some way to make his life miserable and keep him here forever. He swore that their mission in life was to make his own life as horrible as possible. Aunt Petunia would try to make him obey her pointless rules for as long as she could. But, wait; he'd be a full wizard! He could transfigure her into some horrible creature! No, that was against the wizarding law, he'd be sent to Azkaban.
I don't wanna hear it
And I just can't believe it
All the stupid things you say but
Harry new they would try to keep him there forever with the most pathetic reasons. He'd never be truly free of them. Those dratted Dursleys would make his life miserable forever. Harry felt that there was no true escape from them, well that was legal anyway.
One day I won't take this anymore
One day I'll be old enough to do what I want to
I won't have to run away
And you won't be there to say I'm not allowed to
One day
Harry thought he could run away again. Or better yet just not come back after Hogwarts this year. Yeah, he could do that. He could stay at the Weasley's for a while until he found a place of his own. Harry's mood started to improve and he starting packing for Hogwarts again as it was August 31.
Sometimes I wonder if you know me
Or if you just pretend to care
Tell me are you on a mission to bring me down?
As Harry was packing he began to wonder if his aunt and uncle really did care about him, or better yet if they new an actual fact, other than he hated them with a burning passion, about him. No, he thought they don't care about me just because they're his only living family doesn't mean that they actually care about him; they just wanted to make
him miserable.
Go away
Don't look at me
'cuz we're not the same
It wasn't until Harry thought about that he realized how long he had wanted out of that forsaken house. He, himself, wasn't anymore welcome there than his powers were. He really was different from them.
And you can't do nothing
You can say
That it's not ok
But I'm not afraid
And you can't do nothing
But, they couldn't after he left Hogwarts. He could and should leave. They can protest all they want, but it won't matter to Harry. He was going to leave their house and never going to come back tomorrow. Harry was going to live on his own away from his oppressive relatives.
