The Price
Isabel Night

The war is over,
My friends have won,
My sacrifice was not in vain.
However, there is great sadness among them,
Like they don't want to pay the price of victory.
Everything that lives must die,
Every action has a consequence.
I knew the consequences of my actions,
For victory is never free.
All eight of them have seen death,
So why is my death any different?
Is the price of victory worth a friend's life?
In the end, does fate even care?
I have paid my price,
And for victory against Talpa,
They must pay theirs.
It's just that the mortals always ask this one small question,
Is the life of a friend more important than the lives of many more?
