~A Cry For Help~

He sat alone on the beach at the darkened waters in front of him, it was almost midnight and he couldn't sleep. He watched the green star rising slightly above the waters surface leaving the dark water glimmer surface far off green.

"Where are you?" he asked as he put his head between his hands. He hadn't seen them for ten years, weren't they looking for him? He felt like he had been alone ever since Rover died right after his parents did, if it wasn't for Jak he'd be dead.

"So this is the boy," said a voice. His eyes widened, he stood up and looked into the darkness.

"Yes it is kill him," said another voice, he had no time to think before he felt a burning pain through his body and he fell to the ground.

"Help!" he cried before everything went dark.

~`Flashback`~

"Oh no you don't, I don't want any dog in my house!" said the man Jak had walked up to, Jak had asked if Daxter could stay with them for awhile until his people came back for him. Daxter and Rover stopped short at the door.

"You can have that dog, but not two," Jak's uncle said.

"But Daxter isn't a dog with huge glasses on," said Jak. His uncle took a closer look at the boy.

"He's your friend? Does he talk? Will he work? Huh?"

"Uh," Jak paused and looked at Daxter for some help but Daxter remained silent.

"Stupid child leave him at the beach I don't care what happens to him," Jak's uncle turned away. Rover, the big shaggy dog with brown spots on him, whimpered and Daxter found nothing to say and walked away from Jak's house. Jak quickly fallowed him.

"Why didn't you say anything?" Jak asked.

"What's there to say? I'm not of your kind, I disserve to be abandoned," Daxter replied and kept on walking towards the beach.

"Dax that's not true and you know it, it's just some people can be real jerks," Jak said trying his best to make Daxter reconsider.

"It's too late, thanks for your help Jak," he said and sat on the beach.

"Hey I got an idea you can stay in my tree house next to the Forbidden Jungle," Jak said.

"But what about Rover?" he asked.

"I'll help you get him up in the tree," Jak grinned and Daxter smiled.

~-~-~

A terrible storm hit that night and had destroyed Jak's tree house, it had almost seemed like the world was against Daxter because his glasses had broken and his dog was on the ground.

"Daxter!" Jak ran over to him and took a look into his dark blue eyes witch were stained with tears.

"Rover won't answer me Jak," he said, "He won't play fetch."

"Daxter, he's dead," Jak said.

"No, he can't be," he said.

"I'm sorry Daxter, hey what are you doing?" Jak grabbed his arm; he was holding a dagger to his chest.

"I want to die Jak let me do it," he replied.

"No way, come on Daxter you can't give up on living now you have so much to live for," Jak said.

"For what?" he asked.

"Everything."

~`End of Flashback`~

Daxter opened his eyes and looked into someone else's dark blue eyes. A woman sat in front of him, she had golden wings and silver hair, and her dark blue eyes were staring into his.

"Mum?" he asked, he knew who she was but he didn't believe it, was he really dead? Did he die alone?

"Oh Daxter, I've missed you so much," she hugged him and he smiled, he felt as if he was home again with his mother, father and Milsa.

"I guess I'll never be alone again," Daxter smiled and held his mother tight.
