Watching my stars
Ren stared up in the sky, a cold breeze settling over him. The feeling of loneliness was empty but satisfying. It seemed too fast, the nights. As the stars drifted up and disappeared.
"Whatcha looking at?" Horohoro climbed up the wall with difficulty but eventually reached the top. His cheeks were slightly pink from the cold air and his eyes seemed to sparkle with happiness.
"The stars." He silently said.
"They're pretty at this time. It's good that the moon's not full." Horohoro smiled and sat beside Ren.
"What the hell are you doing here?" mistrust filled the voice.
"Hey! Don't be so jumpy! I just couldn't sleep that's all!"
Ren fell silent, not knowing what to say.
"The stars are so nice…"
"You already said that!"
"I know! But people can't stop staring at them. They're just some stars up in the sky. A few dots in an ocean. And who knows? They could be planets."
"Then I'd rule those planets."
"You're too overly obsessed with taking over stuff you know?" Horohoro stood up, keeping his balance on the wall.
"I've never met a moron as stupid as you."
"Take that back!"
"I can't take back the truth."
"Argh!" Horohoro sat down sulkily, looking down while Ren looked up at the sky.
"Horohoro…" Ren started. "If you could rule any place up in the sky… What would it be?"
Horohoro stared at him, his face like a goldfish, the mouth opening and shutting; words never coming out.
"I guess I could have a whole galaxy then" Horohoro smiled. "Or a place where I could grow a field on the entire planet. Then us humans would never destroy it!"
Ren tried to hide his laughter "You are really a simple moron."
Horohoro quickly glared at Ren. "Have you got a better idea then?"
"Obviously I'd take the whole universe. Too much is never enough."
"You're a greedy heartless guy." Horohoro snapped back. Somehow it hurt Ren.
"I can be heartless all I want!"
"You don't make sense at all."
"It doesn't matter to a simpleton to you. I'd rule the entire universe. And you're only happy with a small planet."
"Actually I wouldn't."
"Huh?"
"Because I wouldn't be with you."
"Eh?"
Ren continued staring at Horohoro, puzzled as the blue haired shaman stared up in the sky.
