MAC'S APARTMANT
WASHINGTON, D.C.
Sara was almost ready when Harm knocked on her door. "Just a minute, she called, putting in her earrings as she crossed the living room. She was wearing a black, off the shoulder gown, and she picked up her shawl as she opened the door. "Harm! You're early!!" she exclaimed.
"I know, I, uh...WOW, Mac!! You look gorgeous!" Harm stammered as he stepped into the apartment,"I, uh, I just wanted to make sure we had time to make it to the embassy without having to rush."
He handed Mac a white florist's box. She gasped when she saw what it held inside--a corsage of pink roses and baby's breath. "Harm! You shouldn't have!"she exclaimed as he took the flowers from her and pinned them to her dress. Their significance was not lost on her.
"I can't take all the credit, Mac. Harriet reminded me yesterday," Harm said with his flyboy grin.
"You know what I mean!" siad Sara. She was not used to being treated this way by Harm; it was going to take some getting used to.
"I think we'd better get going," Harm said, reaching for Sara's shawl. As he helped her on with it, he noticed that her hair was longer. He longed to touch it, but he knew better than to try--at least for now. Hopefully, by the time this night was over, he would have every right to reach out and touch her hair any time he wanted.
So, what do you think??? Please R&R!!!!!!
