Okay. Well I got some good reviews. Yet I got several bad ones too. So to
those who flamed me I would like to address you both. This has taken me so
long to write because I'll admit that I was very angry for a long time. I
was cooking dinner when I read your review Java. Let's just say I was
slamming down pots and pans. Tondor I didn't really get what you were
saying at first until I asked my mom about it. So I have a little something
to say to both of you.
Tondor: I can't say much about the Crusades who did what you were talking about. Yet I know there are Christians out there who are willing to give up their lives for their faith. Paul the Apostle was one of the early Christians. He was constantly beaten, put in prisons, and sent into exile because of his faith and teaching people about Jesus. He never killed people or was cruel to them. There probably were people who were cruel like that, but there also were people who showed God's love for us in the purest and truest form. Also in my personal opinion the Crusades weren't truly Christians. God does not teach us to be cruel and punish those who don't believe for he gave people free will. He is the only one who can judge people for He is the only one without sin. So I beg you please do not form your permanent opinion of Christians based on the Crusades for most Christians aren't like that at all.
Java: I'm very sorry to hear that you are Atheist. God loves you so much. It breaks his heart when his children turn against him. Yet God gave people free will and so it is your decision. No one can make it for you. Just know that God loves you all the same. The girl that was killed in Columbine High School with the book written about her was Cassie Bernal. The gunman might have shot her anyway but we don't know for certain. The fact is that she knew the gunman would kill her if she said yes and she did anyway. That is what faith is all about. She knew she would be in Heaven when she died and so she wasn't afraid. Another girl who was in the library with Cassie was also a Christian. She started praying out loud. The gunman looked right at her and he didn't shoot. Her dad got to go in later and see the table she was hiding beneath. Everything on it was untouched. A pencil hadn't even rolled off. If God wasn't protecting her than I don't know what happened. Also the girl in my poem didn't really have a way out. The soldiers would have shot her if she had tried to run. What the girl in my poem did took a lot of courage. She didn't deny God even if it meant losing her life.
God loves you,
