Disclaimer: as much as I would like to own these characters (especially Nick) alas, I do not. They all belong to Stephan King. (that snazzumfrazzum.)

The light was blinding. It was the most beautiful thing Larry had ever seen. He was going into it, becoming one with it.

"Larry."

Mother Abigail? Was it her?

"Larry, you ready to go home?"

"Mother!" Larry cried.

"Come on Larry, we don't have all day." A different voice. He didn't know who it was.

"Aw, hush Nick. He's coming."

"Mother! Where are you?"

Then there was silence.

Larry opened his eyes. He was still surrounded by light but it was soft now, not so blinding.

Where am I? He thought. Is this heaven?

"It's about time Larry."

He stood up. Mother Abigail was walking toward him. "It's good to see you." She said.

Larry leaned over and kissed her. "Where are we Mother?" he asked.

"We're home, boy."

"Mother?" it was the same voice as before. "Mother, where'd you go?"

A figure was walking out of the light. "Larry!" he yelled.

"Nick?" Larry couldn't believe it.

Nick laughed. "Larry! Welcome home!"

He gave Larry a quick hug, then pulled back, his face serious. "How's Tom?" he asked. "Did he make it out before the blast?"

Larry nodded unable to speak.

Nick looked at Mother Abigail. "It's time." She said.

Now Nick nodded, then he turned and walked away. "Where's he going?" Larry asked.

"He has a mission."

"Larry."

Larry turned around. His mother was there.

"Son." She said, wrapping him in her arms.

"Mom, I'm so glad to see you."

"I am so proud of you, Larry. So proud." Those were words that Larry had never expected to hear from her. "I love you."

Again, Larry was speechless. He closed his eyes and held his mother closer to him. He was finally home.
