This story is told from Haruka's P.O.V.
A Different Type of Stalker
A glance from my cold teal-colored eyes would send most admirers scurrying away. But, he was persistent, and wouldn't go away. I guess he kind of grew on me. Michiru was on tour, playing violin all across Japan. More importantly, she was playing all across Japan, and getting further away from me. I was a little lonely. So when he marched right up to me, I was a little bit shocked, yet pleased at the same time. I offered him a bit of my sandwich, which he accepted. Of course, then he started to get too close, and I tried to turn him away...but to no avail. I crumbled under those eyes; Michiru always knew I was soft, and I guess he sensed the same.
As I left the cafe, he followed. I've had my fair share of stalkers, being a prominent racing car driver, but this one stuck to me like glue. Only Michiru could keep up with me like he did, especially when I decided to break out into a jog through the park. Surprisingly, he didn't falter, and commenced following me throughout the day. After a few hours, trying to lose him, I gave up. Fishing the keys out of my pocket, I opened my apartment door.
He was still there, next to me.
I raised an eyebrow, but after a sigh, I eased the door opened, and let him go in. He patiently sat down on the couch and lounged as I closed the door, and hung my jacket. When I turned around, he was asleep. Sighing again, and running my hand through my hair, I decided to just let him be.
You'd think his presence would faze me...nope. He was not going to ruin my routine. So after a bath, and a simple dinner, consisting mainly of rice and fish, I headed for bed. He was still dozing on the couch outside in the living room.
But when I woke up, I found his warm body was curled up next to me on the sheets. The door slammed, and a familiar voice called out, "Haruka?" I started to panic as the footsteps came closer.
"The tour was canceled, the sponsor decided to pull out." Closer.
"Demo, Haruka, I'm happy. It means we get to spend more time together." Our bedroom door creaked open.
Looking guilty, I tried to work my most adorable expression on my wavy-haired partner. "Michiru, I can explain." She narrowed her eyes at me, but after making an exasperating sound, she sat down on the edge of the bed. Stroking his head, she said, "Really, Haruka. You know we can't have stray dogs in the apartment. It's against regulations."
Sheepishly I smiled.
"You know I'm a sucker for the puppy-dog look."
The End
Hmm…well I hope this was at least a little humorous. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Please review and check out my other fics!
