Title: Casual Comments
Author: Auna
Authors note: When I read Ben Browder's last interview, this popped into my mind and harassed me until I wrote it. It's just a silly moment in time that brought me a smile. I wanted to share.

"Aeryn, you need to put the giant grasshopper down now," John urged nervously.
"I will not sit here and tolerate those insults!"
"Yeah, but, honey, if you don't put him down you'll be having junior in jail. The cops are on their way. Do you want that?"
Tears suddenly pooled in her eyes as she held the giant bug-like alien by the throat against the wall of the bar, her giant belly pinning his legs. "No, I don't want that. It's just, I'm tired of the comments."
"He's sorry, Babe. Your sorry, right?" asked John. The alien nodded, his fear shadowing his eyes. "See? He didn't mean to offend, I took no offense. Everything is good."
"Your too soft," she hiccupped.
"I know, but you just went into labor and we REALLY need to get back to Moya before the cops get here."
The tears suddenly a distant memory, Aeryn turned angry eyes on her prisoner. "Spread the word," she warned ominously before dropping the man to the floor. "I want to finish my juice."
"Honey, I'll bring it with us. See? Got it right here."
A contraction hit and she doubled over in pain. John put the cup down to lift her into his arms. "Don't forget my frelling juice!" she yelled when he began heading for the door without it.
Swearing under his breath, and reassuring himself that the longest ten months of his life were nearly over, he retrieved the drink and bolted for the door as quickly as his burden would let him.
