Harry Potter was bored, very bored. He had been locked in his room ever since he got back to Privet Drive from his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, with nothing to do but think. He couldn't even do his homework; Uncle Vernon had locked his trunk in his old cupboard under the stairs. He was also completely cut off from the out side world as Dumbledore had had wards put around his house to stop all owls but Hedwig getting through. This would have been fine if he hadn't left Hedwig at school for her own good.

He sighed again and looked at his watch, 11:59, he would turn fifteen in 56 seconds, 45, 30, 15, midnight.

"Another year older." he snorted, "great!"

But before he could say anything else there was a brilliant flash of light. The last thought to go through his head before he passed out was 'Why do these things always happen to me?'

The first thing Harry was aware of as he came to was the sound of running water. He blinked his blurry eyes and was greeted with an absolutely breathtaking view. He was sitting on a ledge overlooking a waterfall, beautiful rainbows were scattered through the mist rising from the bottom where an impossibly blue lagoon lay nestled between the cliff he was sitting and a white sandy beach.
