A note from Duckie-My friends and I wrote this in English sophomore year because we were learning blues songs and how they work. Each verse was written by one of the people in my group. We got an A on it, ironically. On the last band field trip that our band was on we showed this to our band director and after he read it, he said it was nice then got up and walked to the back of the bus...it was quite funny.

I'm in band and guard

--

I twirl flags in the yard

--

I broke my nose

--

Got blood on my clothes

--

Had to get stitches

--

Boy that was the bitches

--

--

I lost my Dinkles

--

I lost my drill

--

I broke my sticks

--

I'm gonna get killed

--

--

My Baritone is heavy

--

It won't fit in my Chevy

--

I can't march on the beat

--

Since I trip on my feet

--

--

I got out of band

--

Two years ago

--

I played French Horn

--

And sat by an Oboe

--

--

But band blows

--

Like breaking my toes

--

Therefore we are singing these blues

--

To help by warning yous

--

So don't join

--

Cause you can't quit
