Pairing: Yohji/Aya
Rating/Warning: Sweet enough to give me a toothache.

Add. Notes: I've meant to write this for a long time, and I finally got around to do it.

Manx's PoV – a diary perhaps?

Today I saw something I have never seen before.
In its own way, it was beautiful, like a dance, like a battle, like... I don't know. It was simply enticing, intoxicating...
And in a way it made me jealous.
Those two can have what they want – each other. I can never have the love I seek, because the heart of my heart belongs to another...
But they...
They...
They didn't know that I was watching through the window of the shop as I happened to pass by. Sometimes I take the long way back to the office to check up on them, to see if Omi is still plagued by nightmares of his family; if Ken has recovered from his festering wound left by Kase... To see if Yohji have got himself a new girlfriend to ease the ache after his Asuka; if Aya was on his way to see his imouto...
Sometimes, I go into the shop, filled with the chatter of girls and stand there in silence, acknowledging their hard work and just watch them go about their daily routines. At those times, it's hard to remember just who and what they are... Bringers of justice, fighters for the light...
But ultimately...
Killers...
But today, I didn't enter the shop. I didn't get the chance.
I was caught by the vision of Blood and Gold in the window, partly hidden by an arrangement of roses. They didn't know that I was there, or they would never have showed me this.
There was a rose between them, a rose tracing a pale forehead, a pale cheekbone and down to slightly parted red lips. A shiver was the only response at first, wrecking down a lithe body.
A smile on Gold's lips at this, a slight movement forward.
Blood's eyes widening even more, a faint blush over pale cheeks. I think he took an unconscious step backwards, to try and get out of Gold's immediate presence, but he was trapped like a bird.
As I continued to watch, the rose fell from golden fingers to be crushed under a heel, the petals releasing their intoxicating fragrance.
Forgotten.
The vision of blood and gold continued their slow dance inside, oblivious to anything but the other as they moved slowly towards each other, lips meeting in a light kiss.
I believe that this was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen – just the moment of tasting, touching...
All too soon, it was over, Gold stepped back from Blood, smiled at the expression on his heart's face.
And it was time for me to be on my way again.
And to try to not be jealous of what they have.

Okay... *scratches head* Didn't work out as I wanted it to, but they seldom do.
I'm taking a break from writing again. Real life is fucked up pretty badly right now and I don't have the time or the energy to continue writing. Frankly, I'm not sure I want to. I need a break, and I need to re-charge the batteries completely. Every other story I got will be on hold until I feel that I have the time and the will to continue them.
