Labyrinth: A Poem

Through dangers untold
And hardships unnumbered
Those words that were said
For whom were they uttered?

The fate of the child
Was in the girl's hands
Through the Labyrinth to the castle
Where the Goblin King stands

She met a few friends
On her journey to the center
Until the road ends
They tried to protect her

To save her baby brother
She faced every danger
The girl she had been
Now seemed a stranger

She reached the castle
Beyond the goblin gate
The clock didn't strike
She wasn't too late

She saved that child
With no time to spare
The Goblin King flew
And well did they fare

She was back in her house
Her brother safe too
Never again to whisper
The wish that came true.
