Hmmm......A crow fic. why not? Might as well. Anyways this will be my crow fic. All though things will be a little different. This story will not have to do with the other three crows at all really, okay so maybe a little. Anyways most of these characters will be mine, I'll make note of those who aren't later. So here we go I guess.
~ FLASH~ A woman and a man sitting in on the floor of an apartment talking, their voices not heard at first. She smiles as she lays down putting her head onto his lap. their voices become steadily more audible.
"Tell me a story Daniel"
"Alright have you heard the one about the Crow?" he smiled lightly brushing the hair from her face.
"No I don't think I have, tell me it"
"People used to think that when someone dies, a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead. But sometimes... only sometimes the crow brings that soul back to set the wrong things right. If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them. Buildings burn. People die. But real love lives forever. Or so the story goes anyways. But it's just a story, things like that don't happen."
"What happens when a spirit does come back?"
"Well story goes that they come back and seek vengeance for injustice. It's also said that Crows have painted their faces to look like tragic clowns, to express their sadness."
"Wow. Well if I died I'd come back, I love you to much to let you off that easy."
~FLASH~ Yelling. Lots of yelling filling the once silent night. A door opening in a warehouse. A single light bulb casting an eerie glow on a body attached to a chain hanging from the ceiling. the soft splash of small drops of blood hitting the floor underneath the dangling body. Running footsteps becoming faster and louder as they near the body. the footsteps stop as she stops running.
"Daniel!" the head rises and he gives a slight moan from under his puffy bruises and cuts.
"Get out of here Marie," came the agonized command with an air of pleading. She takes a few steps away from him before being grabbed from behind. She flails in the arms wrapped around her, with no effect. From the darkness comes a voice,
"Tsk, Tsk. Didn't think you would be leaving us so early did you. That wouldn't be polite, you didn't even say hello." she wriggles in the arms that bind her and the body lets out a small groan.
"Well my little pet, did you do me well?"
"I...I couldn't get it. I tried I really did, but I couldn't get the money. P.. Please just let him go."
" I can't do that Hon, your fiancee here owes me some money, and I don't let my debts go unfilled." with that the man steps into the light and pulls out the gun shooting him in the head, she screams.
"Daniel!!" she flails kicking the man in the leg and he drops her bitterly. She runs for the door turning her back on the men and suddenly stops letting out a loud gasp before falling to her knees, and then to lay on her stomach, blood pooling around her, seeping form the bullet wound in her back.
~FLASH~ Her eyes open suddenly in the dark, as she reaches out panicked and feels the padded inside of a coffin. A loud scream is muffled by the dirt around her. Her arms reach up trying to push the top of the coffin up. A muffled sob comes from her as she rips at the lining of the coffin frantically till the bare wood is exposed. Loud pounding as she punches at the top trying to break it.
Suddenly her hand goes through causing a great hole in the coffin, and dirt comes through. She wrenches at the hole making it large enough to fit through then starts to dig her way out. her fingers scraping at the moist earth.
Muffled cries as she lifts her body up out of the hole, and fumbles onto the damp grass, crawling away from the hole. She looks up and sees the bright moon and then a large crow sitting on the top of a grave stone looking down at her with small beady eyes.
