Dear Harry,

I suppose you heard the famous story that your mother died to save you. Well that part was right. She was one of the bravest people I've known in my life. But I also want you to know something. I tried to defend Voldemort to give your mother and you time to run for it. It was scary for me to know that my death would occur on my favourite holiday. Anyways, that's not important right now, I wish I could tell you everything I wanted to in front of you, instead of writing this letter from you. I would like you to know that your mother's death and mine have not been avenged yet so we aren't in heaven. I don't know where we are but I'd like to say that a mother's love is only a half of your survival in the attack, the other half was mine. So the message in this letter is that a father's love matters too.

I love you Harry James Potter.

You truly are my son.

Love,

James
