The Friends
This is sort of just an introduction fic that introduces some of my fan characters and other things.
It was 7:00 AM. The great ball of fire and gas known as the sun rose slowly into the air. Chris the Hedgehog opened 2 shining blue eyes and stared around, still in bed. He sat up slowly and looked around again. Nothing had changed; his room was the same as it had always been with one blue wall, one red wall, one yellow wall and one green. He rolled off the bed and hit the ground with a thud. "Ow!" He said. Chris got up off the ground. Chris walked over to a table in his room and picked up his belt and clipped it around it brown waist. He walked over to the mirror and looked at his reflection. He looked the same as always. Dark blue eyes and dark brown fur and quills. Chris looked down at his belt that held all of his useful tools. He saw his tape measure, his calculator, his knife, his flashlight, his sword and his small bottle of pepper spray. He then meandered over to his bureau and yanked opened a drawer. Inside were his knapsack that held his first-aid kit, many pencils and pens and several notebooks. Chris always took all this gear along because you never know when you may need it. He opened the door slowly and stepped out. Chris looked around then slowly walked down the stairs. "Crick, crick, crick, crick." The stairs creaked with every step but he made it downstairs without waking anyone up.
He went into the kitchen and found a surprise. Chris' parents were up but not his sister. The orange hedgehog that was his mother, Iris was making waffles on the oven and the green fox that was his dad, Mach was reading the newspaper. Mach noticed Chris and said, "good morning, Chris. How'd you sleep?" Chris said, "good morning. I slept fine." Chris sat down and placed his backpack down on the floor and Mach noticed this. "Where you going, Chris?" He asked. "Emerald Island." Chris replied. "Would you like some waffles before you go?" "No thanks, Mom." Chris stood up, put the backpack over his shoulder and, quick as a flash, and was out the door.
Just as the door snapped shut, the blue rabbit known as Connie stepped out of bed and went downstairs. She saw Iris and Mach and said, "Hi, Mom. Hi, Dad." "Hello, Connie." They both said. "Where's Chris?" Connie asked. "He went out to Emerald Island." "Oh. Thanks, Dad."
