I just thought I should write one short fic about Remus and his friends.

If you haven't read The Order of the Phoenix, don't read this fic. Contains spoilers!!

I don't own any of the characters, everything related to HP belongs to JKR! By the way, I'm sorry coz I didn't write too much about Peter.. I don't like him at all!

Memories

Something to hold to.
Something you will always have.
Something doesn't fade with time.
They're like files inside a small box in your head and whenever you want to recall something,
all you have to do is open your memory box and look in all the files you have... That's what
Remus Lupin did when he returned to Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place, the day when Sirius died.

Somehow he didn't want to accept the fact that Sirius had died, but deep inside he knew he
wasn't coming back... that he was really gone.

He lied flat on his bed and as he stared at the dark ceiling, he opened his own box of memories,
where a file projected among the others. It was the memory of when he first met professor
Dumbledore. His parents had taken him to Diagon alley, where they were supposed to meet
professor Dumbledore at the Leaky Cualdron. The memory was a bit dim, but clearer as he
entered the Leaky Cualdron, following his parents. . .

. . .
Professor Dumbledore was already there, wearing dark purple robes and his half moon spectacles.
His long beard wasn't silver but gray, and when he caught sight of young Remus, a smile appeared
at his face. He greeted him and his parents and invited them to take a seat. Soon, they were
discussing Remus' situation.

Lupin didn't remember the first part of the conversation, since he'd been just paying attention
to the people around him, looking everywhere around in the Leaky Cualdron: witches and wizards
that had met there, asking for drinks and talking among each other.
After 15 minutes, Mrs Lupin placed a hand on young Remus' shoulder
"Remus, honey, did you hear?" that's when he realised he hadn't listened a single word. Remus
blushed and shook his head.
"You've been accepted at Hogwarts!" told him Mr Lupin. Remus widened his eyes. He couldn't
believe that prof. Dumbledore accepted him after being.. a werewolf
"But.. how-- ?"
"We need to do some arrangements at the grounds of Hogwarts" said professor Dumbledore, still
this weird smile on his lips, looking into Remus' eyes "And we will have to build a house at
the Hogsmeade village where you can transform. The details of how you are going to get there,
we shall discuss them later. But Remus," the smile faded off his face and he looked serious "No
one must know about it. It is pretty dangerous, and you know what could happen if a student
sees you like a wolf, right?" Remus nodded. Again, Dumbledore was smiling "Here, I have
something for you". He looked inside the inside pocket of his robes and took out a letter with
the Hogwarts crest, which he gave to Remus. Slowly, Remus opened the letter and read it.
He had been admited at Hogwarts! He felt so happy. . .

The image on his mind became dim again and he found himself looking among the files for the
one that belonged of the day he first met his best friends. . .

Ok, I know this is a short one, but there are more to come...
