My Love

The wind was blowing rapidly through the trees, if wind can blow rapidly, that is. A man stood

in the shadows of a near-by overhang.

/I will see you again/

/Someday/

/If I have to wait/

/The rest of my life/

He stood there a few seconds more, before turning back to the Underground that was his home.

Not a few minutes later did another individual appear in that very spot. This time, a girl the age

of sixteen, possibly seventeen, stepped into the light of the afternoon.

/I know you can hear me/

/Please answer my call/

/I'm nothing without you/

/Nothing at all/

She looked all around her to see if someone had come, but no one had. Her desperate attempt to

call her love had failed.

/The night is so dark now/

/You don't understand/

/If I could just show you/

/My heart's in your hand/

The girl turned around. Tears were forming in her eyes as her heart was breaking. "My love.

I wish I had known!" she cried as the tears streamed down her face.

"Don't cry, Sarah." the man's voice echoed to her. In a split second he was there with her, wiping

away her tears.

/Please don't cry, my love/

/Everything is fine/

/We were apart, my love/

/But now you are mine/
