Chapter 8: Confusion
Ron got up and walked away. He knew Harry wouldn't kick him off the team. They were best friends. So why did he have a feeling that Harry would in the pit of his stomach? And what was Harry going to tell him about Ginny that made him so upset?
Ron turned around and stared at Harry. He looked really torn apart about having to decide wether Ron was going to be on the team or not. Ron would be too. He didn't blame Harry. But still, Ron was his best friend. He couldn't kick Ron off the team.
"Ron?" Someone said, walking up behind him. Gosh, she had a beautiful voice.
"Hi, Hannah." Ron said, turning around to face her.
"Why were you crying?" Hannah asked, wiping off his face.
"Because of Harry."
"I know this must be hard on both of you," Hannah started. She kissed him and then went on. "but that's why I'm here. Okay?"
"Yeah." Ron said, kissing her back. "I - I - I have to go." Ron then ran off, leaving Hannah standing there alone. Ron looked back and saw that Hannah was upset. It hurt him to see the person he loves in so much pain. And it hurt him even more knowing that he was the one who caused that pain. Then he ran into someone and looked up. It was Lupin.
"Ron, where's the fire?" Lupin laughed. "What's wrong with Hannah?"
"I'm sorry. I just couldn't say it! I had to do something!" Ron yelled, panick in his voice. "I have to go!" Ron ran around Lupin and into the castle. Did Hermione lock her room? He hoped not. 'I have to get to that knife.' Ron thought, running up the stairs to the Prefect Tower. He stopped in front of Hermione's room and tried the door. 'Great! It's not locked!' He stepped inside and looked around. Now where could that knife be?
Ron started looking through Hermione's drawers and felt he was going to throw up at the sight of the contents in one of them. Anyhow, he kept searching for th knife, and finally found it in her pajama drawer. He walked out of the room and down the stairs to the Gryffindor common room. But as soon as he turned a corner, he bumped into Harry. 'Oh no.' Ron thought. 'He's going to find out!'
"Hi, Ron." Harry said, looking at his shoes.
"I - I got to go. B - bye, Harry." Ron said, walking around him. He walked through the corridors and into the common room. He saw Fred and George in the two arm chairs near the fire.
"Ron, are you okay?" Fred asked.
"What's that in your pocket?" George asked, getting out of his chair and walking over to Ron.
"N - nothing." Ron said, panicking. Oh no. George was going to find out again and everything would be ruined. "I have to go." Ron said before running up the stairs and into his room. He heard Fred and George running up the stairs behind him. Ron took a turn and ran into the Boys' bathroom. He ran into a stall and stood on the seat. He heard the door open and Fred and George's voice's coming inside.
"I know what I saw, Fred!" George yelled.
"That doesn't mean that he was going to use it!"
"Well, he sure wasn't going to give it back to Harry, that's for sure."
"Well, he could have another use for a pocket knife. Right?"
"What other use is there?"
"To cut something?"
"Yeah. Himself." George said, obviously getting annoyed with Fred.
"How do you know he's in here?"
"Cause I saw this door open and close and not his bedroom door."
"Who said it was him?" They were coming really close to Ron, and he could here them openning stalls along the way. "Look, there's only two stalls left. Can we go now?"
"No." George said, really annoyed this time. They were right in front of his stall. "If you really loved our brother, you would take this stall and I'll take the next."
"Fine." He heard Fred openning the stall door and prayed for dear life that he didn't say anything to George. Fred openned the door and stared at Ron. He saw the knife in his hand and and the pleading look on his face.
"Well? Is he in there?" George said from beside Fred.
Fred looked at George and back at Ron's pleading face. "No. He's not in here."
"Alright, then. We best be going then, Fred." George sighed and said in a defeated tone. Ron heard George open the door. "C'mon, Fred." Before Ron heard him step out of the door.
Fred stared at Ron with a mixture of concern and disgust. "We have to talk about this later! You're lucky I lied to George for you!"
"I know." Ron said, climbing off the seat, starting to get upset. He knew for a fact that his twin brothers rarely ever lied to one another. They're best friends, just like Harry and himself. "Thanks, Fred. I owe you one."
"Ron, don't start crying! I hate it when you cry!" Fred said, hugging Ron. "We'll talk about this later. If I don't leave, like, now, George is going to become suspicious."
"Okay." Ron said, wiping a tear away from his cheek before Fred could see it. But he wasn't fast enough.
"Ron, I promise evrything is going to be okay." Fred said, hugging him once again before walking over to the bathroom door and leaving.
Ron was glad he had two older brothers that cared for him as much as Fred and George did. He knew that George was only looking for him because he cared about Ron and didn't want him to do something stupid. Ron loved his brothers a lot.

Hermione walked over to Hannah in darkened entrance. She hadn't moved at all since Ron had left her. Was she thinking that Ron would come back for her? Because Hermione seriously doubted that. Even when Professor Lupin came to talk to her, she didn't respond. She just kept looking in the same direction. The direction Ron had left in.
"Hannah?" Hermione asked uncertainly. "Are you okay?"
Hannah looked over at Hermione and Hermione saw a single tear fall from her eye. Hermione walked up to Hannah and put her arms around her. "It'll be okay, Hannah. I promise."
"Why did he leave me? I was trying to comfort him. He kissed me and said he had to leave! He sounded like he didn't like me anymore!"
Hermione laughed at Hannah. She was being really pathetic. "He doesn't, though. He loves you, Hannah!"
"And how would you know that?" Hannah asked, unconvinced. "Did he tell you in person?"
"Well, no." Hermione guessed that she had proved Hannah's point and quickly added, "Everyone can tell by the way he acts around you. It's pathetic, really. The way he saved you from the Bludger, the way he always carries your books, the way he talks to you, the way he smiles around you, even if he's had a miserable day, and a whole lot more things."
"Really?" Hannah asked, looking hopeful.
"Yeah, really!" Hermione laughed. "Now how about we go inside? It's going to be curfew soon."
"Okay." Hannah said, a smile on her face. "Let's go. Oh! But I've got to talk to Angel! It's super important!" Hannah raced off and Hermione just stared at her, confusion filling her head. Harry ran up to Hermione and he still didn't look to good.
"Are you okay, Harry?" Hermione asked, placing her hand on his shoulder.
"I think I'm fine . . . "
"You think you're fine?"
"I've came to my decision about Ron." Harry went on, ignoring Hermione's statement.
"What is it, Harry?" Hermione started smiling, but her smiled faded as she really caught notice of the look on Harry's face.
"He's going to be kicked off the team."

Hannah ran through the halls, searching everywhere for Angel. Half way along she ran into one of her old friends from Andrews School of Witchcraft, Ryo Ventus, who was placed in Ravenclaw and was previously in Laurmac, a house at Andrews.
"Hi, Ryo! Long time no see!" Hannah said distractidly.
"Is something wrong, Hannah? You seem kind of distracted."
"I am. Listen, it's been nice talking to you, but I've really got to go find Angel."
"Oh. Her." Hannah forgot that Ryo thought that Angel was a preppy, stuck up snob.
"Well, bye." Hannah didn't even wait for a reply, she just darted off to go find Angel again and tell her the big news. She finally found her talking to Dobby in the kitchens, trying to get some free food, and trying to find George.
"Angel! What are you doing in here?"
"I want my french fries!" Angel wined.
"What are french fries?" Questioned Dobby.
"Nevermind!" Angel said, annoyed. "I'll make them myself! Got any potatos around here?" She was greeted by five or so House - elves, all carrying about three pounds of potatos each. "Awesome!" Angel yelled. "How about some pizza, now?"
"What's pizza?" A small house elf asked.
"You guys really need to study American ways more often." Angel laughed.
"Nevermind about that!" Hannah yelled, frightening the House - elves.
"Mr. Potter sir was never as mean as you are!" Dobby yelled at Hannah.
"Shut up!"
"Shush!" Angel said. "Hermione's still on about spew!"
"It's S.P.E.W.!" Said a voice from behind them. They wirled around to find Hermione in the door way.
"Why are you here, Hermione?"
"I was woundering if any of you have seen Ron. Harry didn't want to tell him the news, so he made me."
"What news?" Hannah said, panicking.
"He's kicking him off the team." Hermione stated simply. Hannah almost fainted at this news.
"Yes!" Angel yelled. Hannah stared at her with widened eyes. "I mean . . . um . . . too bad for Ron." Angel said. She muttered the next words to herself. "But awesome for me!"
"I'm going to kill my brother!" Hannah said, stomping out of the room.
"Well, she took that better than I expected." Hermione muttered to herself. Now that Hannah was gone, Angel start dancing around the kitchens, knocking over various amounts of pots and pans. Hermione looked at he with terror in her face.
"I ougt to be going now . . ." Hermione said, but Angel paid no attention to her. She was to busy yelling, 'I'm the new Keeper! I'm the new Keeper . . . ' Hermione ran out of the room, hoping that when Angel came back to the common room, she wasn't as hyper, or else everyone in the Gryffindor House would be breaking curfew.
Angel though, kept on getting her groove on. Finally, Dobby tried to tap on her on the leg, and she nearly ran over him.
"Oh! I'm so sorry, Dobby! Are you alright?" Dobby nodded his little cute head(In Angel's opinion). "Let's make some fine dinning American food. Pizza, humburgers, and french fries." Dobby look frightened at the sudden change in food, but quickly agreed that the House - elves would help after Angel started making a mess trying to find the perfect kinds of pots and pans.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
When Ron went down for lunch the next afternoon, he was suprised to see some strange looking food on the House Tables.
"Well the hell is this gross, disgusting looking food?" Ron said, picking up a slice of pizza.
"Wow!" Hannah said as she sat down next to Ron. She immediatly started loading her plate up the various kinds of pizza, humburgers, and french fries. As soon as her plate was filled, she started digging in while Ron started at her like she was of her rocker.
"Wow!" Angel and Crystal said as they walked into the Great Hall. "Real food!"
"This doesn't look real." George said, taking a place next to Ron. "It looks like rubber."
"It tastes like it, too." Ron said, biitting into a peice of Hannah's pizza. Hannah smacked his hand and took back her favorite food in the world.
Hannah and Angel just stared at Ron and George, still stuffing their faces. Then they finally spoke, taking time away from eating. "Hey! We grew up on this food!"
"I feel sorry for you." Ron said, staring at the food with his nose wrinkled. Hannah hit him over the head nad continued eating while Angel started cracking up laughing.
Ron looked at Dumbledore and nearly fell off his seat at what he saw. Dumbledore was being just as bad as Hannah and Angel were, if possible, even worse.
McGonagall stood up and the hall fell silent. "Whoever taught the House - elves in the kitchens to make such bogus food . . . I thank them. This school really needed a change!"
Now it was Dumbledore's turn to speak. "I would like to thank one person in priticular. She has help the House - elves through a change in cooking habits, and let's just addmit it, everyone can use a little change. Everyone . . ." Dumbledore said, staring at George and Ron in priticular. "My thanks to the fullest to Miss. Angel McCartney." At this, Angel stood up and bowed. "This is what you call, American dinning. These," Dumbledore said, picking up some french fries, "are french fries. They are made out of potatos. And these are humburgers. They are made out of cow beef and various toppings. And finally, this is called a minature pizza. It's from Italy and made out of bread, tomato sauce, cheese, and sometimes various toppings. Thank you. Enjoy!" The hall remained silent even after Dumbledore had sat down.
Hannah stood up and spoke, this time. "Can I see Ryo Ventus, Jennifer Taylor, Angel McCartney, and Crystal Glass, please. Like, NOW!" Everyone stared at her. "What are you satring at? I wasn't talking to you unintelligent life forms." Everyone looked back at the food on their tables. Hannah saw that Draco Malfoy wouldn't let Crystal go, and yelled out, "Hey you! Ferret Boy! Let her go!" Malfoy glared at her, but let Crystal go. While Hannah was talking with her friends, Ron was testing out her food.
"What do you think these taste like?" Ron asked George, holding a french frie and scowling at it. "It looks something like a worm."
"I agree." George said with a disgusted look on his face.
"I think I'm going to skip lunch today." Ron said, getting up out of their seats.
"I'll join you." George said, tossing his worm on Angel's plate.
"You will not!" Hannah and Angel yelled at them. "Sit down and eat!"
"But Hannah . . ."
"NOW!"
"But Angel . . ."
"SIT DOWN!"
George and Ron sat down, picking their worms back up. They stuck them in their mouths and couldn't stop eating them from then on.
"Told ya they were good." Hannah said, sitting next to Ron.
"Shut up." Ron said through a mouth full of worms. "These worms are actually pretty good, though."
"Duh!" Angel laughed. "And they're not called worms! They're called french fries!"
"Whatever." George said through a mouth full of cow beef.
"Eww!" Ron said. "You're eating cow fat!"
"Cow beef! Cow BEEF!" Hannah yelled at Ron. "Not cow fat!"
"It's also know as ground beef." Angel pointed out. George spit out his food. "Ewww . . ."
"Angel. We still need to talk."
"It wasn't my fault that we couldn't talk last night. You're the one who stormed out and yelling something about killing your brother because he kicked Ron off -" Hannah kicked her in the leg and she shut up.
"I'm not so hungry anymore." Ron said, getting up.
"Ron . . ." Hannah pleaded.
"No, it's okay." Hannah gave him a look that said, 'I don't believe you.'. "Really. It's okay."
"Okay. Fine! Just leave me like that!" Hannah yelled before storming out of the Great Hall, not talking to Angel, again.
"What's up with her?" Ron asked.
"I think she's off her rocker." George repiled, getting a punch from Ron. Angel ran out of the Great Hall, most likely looking for Hannah. Even though Hannah was Ron's girlfriend, she was a bit crazy, come to think of it.
"I just noticed something." George whispered to Ron.
"What?"
"Everyone from Andrews has an accent."
"You're too slow for you're own good." Ron repiled, shaking his head.
"I think it's kinda cute."
"And pathetic, too." Ron said, ignoring George.(A/N: The real Angel helped me put together this sence. Great thanks to her for some great ideas!)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Hannah ran into her room three minutes later. Ron was horrible! Did he even care about Hannah at all? She thought back to what Hermione had said the night before, 'He loves you, Hannah!' and 'Everyone can tell by the way he acts around you.' Well, he sure wasn't acting like it now. That was for sure. Where were Harry and Fred all through lunch? Why hadn't they showen up? Maybe Dobby told them what was on the lunch menu, and decided to skip it.
Angel ran in, out of breath.
"Do you know Harry and Fred had wandered off to?" Hannah asked her.
"Yeah - they - were - talking - about - Ron." Angel barely got out the words, still trying to catch her breath.
"Great." Hannah said, falling back onto her bed.
"So - what did you - want to - talk about?" Angel said, still panting.
"Oh that."
"Yeah, 'that'."
"Well, ya see, I think I'm . . . I'm . . . I'm . . . "
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Ron walked out of the Great Hall, George following him, with pockets full of worms.
"Why do ya keep on flowing me every where?" Ron finally asked George, cause it had been buggin him for quite a while.
"Um . . . "
"If this is about . . . ya know . . . then you don't have to worry."
"Course I do." George said. "Hey, do you think I have a chance with Angel?"
"You two are practically going out anyway, so, um . . . DUH!"
"We are not!"
"What? You don't think I saw you two making out in the library?"
"Um . . . um . . . um . . . That - that was Fred!"
"Sure it was . . . " Ron said, nudging his now shorter - than - him older brother.
"Fine! It was us!"
"Told ya!" Ron said, grinning at George.
"Wait! You changed the subject!"
"I did not! You did!"
"Did not!"
"Did to!"
"Did not!"
"Did to!" This went on for about five minutes until George finally remembered that he changed the subject to Angel.
"Told ya!"
"Shut up!" George said leaving to go look for the love of his life, Angel McCartney. She truely was an Angel.
"I thought you wanted to follow me everywhere?" Ron called after him.
"You're too annoying to be around twenty - four seven." George called back. Ron stuck his tounge out at him and George just ignored him, walking up the steps.
"You're mean!" Ron called marching off.
While George was walking toward the Gryffindor Tower, he ran into Fred. George had actually known that Ron was in the stall and that Fred had lied to him, so he didn't feel like talking to Fred this very moment.
"George! I have to tell you something major!" Fred said, running up to George.
"Is it another . . . I don't know . . . let's just say, lie?" George said walking around Fred and continuing his walk.
"It's about Ginny." George stopped at these words and turned around.
"What about Ginny?" George asked suspiciously.
"She's been cheating on Harry with Seamus Finnagan!"
"You're kidding? That's horrible!"
"Yeah. Harry was the first one to find out, too. He was looking for Ginny and found her kissing Seamus in a deserted classroom."
"Wow. Rough. Listen, I've got to go."
"Where?"
"To find Ron." At that he started walking back down near the Great Hall, looking for his tall little brother. He found him talking to Lee Jordan, the twins' best friend.
"Ron! You'll never guessed what I heard?"
"I thought I was too annoying for you?" Ron asked.
"You are, but you really got to hear this!"
"Fine, you great bloke, what is it? Something for your joke shop?"
"No. Though it is quite funny . . . "
"What is it?" Ron said in a dull tone.
"Ginny's cheating on Harry with Seamus Finnagan! Harry found them making out in a classroom!"
"How is that funny?" Ron yelled at George. "Poor Harry . . . "
"What do you care? Harry's the one who kicked you off the team, remember?"
"Shut up!" Ron yelled.
"Why should I, eh? It's the truth!"
"I said shut up!" Ron yelled, running off.
"Shesh. You're so nice." Lee said before walking off.
"Ron! Come back!" George said, running after him. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean too!"
Ron stopped and waited for George.
"Ron . . . "
"It's not your fault, it's Harry's . . . "
"Now, you can't blame everything on Harry . . . "
"Why not? He deserves it!"
"Why, Ron? Why does he deserve it?"
"Because!"
"Because why? Because he kicked you off the team?"
"And the fact that he got mad at me for going out with Hannah, when he was going out with Ginny! And for being mad at me for calling him something he wasn't! Everyone was!"
"That's not the point, Ron! His still your best friend!"
"He WAS my best friend! I'll be damned if he is now!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Harry ran off in the opposite direction. He had been looking for George and had found him alright. Why did everything happen to him? Why was his life so complicated when everyone else's looked so easy? It wasn't fair. It just wasn't fair. Gosh. Usually he would talk to Ron about these kind of things, but . . .Maybe he could talk to dad? Yep. That would work.
Harry walked into his room and found his 'dad' sleeping on his bed, curled up into a ball.
"Dad, this is my room, you don't have to be a dog in here." Harry stated, sitting next to Siruis. He was so upset right now. Ron was supposed to be his best friend! Harry thought that Ron wouldn't care about being kicked off the Quidditch team! He thought he'd understand!
"What's wrong, son, you look troubled."
"It's Ron." Harry said, falling back onto his pillows.
"You don't have feelings for him, do you?"
Chapter 8: Confusion
Ron got up and walked away. He knew Harry wouldn't kick him off the team. They were best friends. So why did he have a feeling that Harry would in the pit of his stomach? And what was Harry going to tell him about Ginny that made him so upset?

"Well, ya see, I think I'm . . . I'm . . . I'm . . . "
