Title; Mmm, Sins
Author; Snowballjane
Disclaimer; Aziraphale and Crowley, are not mine, they're Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's. But if they aren't going to take them out and play with them.
Summary; Sins in the park.
***
It was a hot day in central London and - as usual on such rare occasions - there was barely a blade of grass visible in the park thanks to the mass of sunbathers. There was, however, a large conveniently empty spot, just where Crowley expected it to be - on the edge of the shadow of a large tree.
Aziraphale sat down in the shade with a copy of The Bookseller magazine and Crowley stretched out in the sunshine and closed his eyes behind his shades.
In the distance an ice cream van jingled to announce its presence. Office workers on their lunch breaks slowly reddened. Workaholics tapped on their laptops and teenagers chatted loudly on their mobile phones. Tourists from warmer climes sneered at the English over-excitement at a bit of nice weather, but sat in the park to eat their sandwiches all the same.
Crowley rolled onto his side and propped himself up with his elbow.
"So Aziraphale, can I tempt you to one of the seven deadly sins? I hear lust is rather good."
"Um, ah, er, well, er," floundered the angel.
"Sloth then," suggested Crowley. "I believe it has peanuts."
"It has?" asked Aziraphale, utterly bewildered. "Since when? What? What are you laughing at?"
Crowley wasn't just laughing, he was shaking so hard he gave himself hiccups.
"Your face Angel," he finally gasped. "They're ice creams. Oh, my sides hurt."
When Crowley finally recovered, he picked his way through the crowd to the ice cream van. He returned holding two small packages.
"They only had Greed and Lust - er, Tiramisu or Strawberry," he said checking the wrappers.
"Mmm, Tiramisu," said Aziraphale. He caught the ice cream as Crowley threw it to him.
A few moments later he chuckled. "Ah," he grinned. "Greed is highly enjoyable. How's yours?"
"Lust's a bit weird actually."
They stared for a long moment at the sizzling sunbathers.
"So what flavour's Envy then?" asked Aziraphale.
