Trailer to Ride of My Life

A/N: I have had this idea stirring in my head for awhile and finally decided to put it down and connect the dots. Let me know what you think. I want to see how much interest there is before I get my hands dirty.

.....

It was a beautiful day . . .

Suddenly, the roar of aircrafts were perceptibly coming toward us incredibly low . . .

With a flash of light the world around me darkens . . .

I wake on the edge of a forest with unspeakable beauty . . .

I am alone in a place untouched by most men.

* * *

I see a man striding towards me. It is the first person I have seen all week. I eagerly jog over.

"Good day, sir," I greeted when I caught up with him. "Could you tell me how to get back to the town?"

"Waarom, wat een prettige verrassing. Het is zeldaam om een schepsel met beaty hier zulke te zien zoals thee . . ." he replied, his eyes traveling up my body.

* * *

His hand gripped my wrist and I could feel my bones cracking beneath his grip. I tried to wrench away, but he pushed me into the cavern wall and pressed his body against mine.

* * *

Voices. I woke to hear the most soothing sound I have ever heard in the world. It vaguely reminded me of my Enya CD back home. I yearned to understand the lyrics of the song, but enjoyed its existence all the more. I found my feet drifting to the mouth of the cave to draw near to it . . .

* * *

My leg screamed in pain as I dashed away into the thick forest. I had to get away. I had to find my way home.

Blood dripped down my hands and from the bone protruding from my leg. I knew at the sound of the bone grinding together that I would never walk properly again and I felt my leg compressing as I ran on. But I had no choice. I had to find safety.

* * * This place seemed to almost be a whole other world. Who would have known these . . . creatures could exist! Pointy-eared, fair skinned and haired men . . . there are countless languages spoken all around! I wish I wasn't in so much danger or I'd love to stay and study this strange forest and what secrets lay within it. Could this be the long lost Atlantis?

* * *

Arrows whizzed narrowly past my head as I tucked myself in a ball. I prayed desperately for my life to be spared. The smell of the foul creatures was unbearable and I felt as though I would pass out. I fought against consciousness and tried to mentally concoct a plan to escape with my life.
