**Disclaimer: I don't own Lara Croft. If I did, that Angelina Jolie would not be making a mockery out of the series right now.**
**Authors Insanity: Whilst playing the latest Tomb Raider game (and dying again, and again, and again, and...you get the picture.), this little idea hit me. *points to head* See? Still have a bruise. I put steak on it. Feel free to comment. Good comments will make me smile so muchly. Bad comments make me contemplate life. Then I sleep. I sleep now.**
How Monotonous
She could swear she'd been here before. Same swiping of the card, same trip down the same flight of stairs to the same area overlooking the same pool. She kept having the weirdest sense of deja-vu, but couldn't make sense of it.
Quickly she jogged down the corridor, keeping her guns out and randomly shooting at the wall. She stopped and shot at one of the windows. It didn't break. She kept shooting. She didn't want to, but she couldn't help herself. It was like something outside of her was making her. She ran into the window.
This was getting weird. Suddenly she took off running at full speed down the hall, onto the walkway, and into the railing. She vaulted over and knocked the man in the white coat into the water below. There was lots of blood. But she just stood there, looking into the vat to get a good look at the creature finishing it's meal.
Her right food slid forward, but she didn't want it to. She wanted to stay back, but she was moving to the edge. Try as she might, she couldn't hold herself back. She dove in.
It moved quickly to her, but she did nothing but float there, screaming silently in her mind. Even as it's teeth sank into her, she did nothing, didn't make a sound.
Same hallway, same swiping card, same everything. It all looked so familiar.
She went over the railing easily. Pushing the man into the water, she looked in.
Hadn't she been here before?

Gah! Insanity! Pointless and stupid! *whacks self with frying pan* But honestly, how many times do you die in this game and have to keep going back and re-doing something? It's kinda like life you know. I don't know why I wrote this. I'm working on a much better Tomb Raider story right now. My version of what happened after the Last Revelation. Hopefully it'll be up soon. Once I get off my lazy butt. *pokes you with stick* I don't expect any reviews, but still, say something to make me smile. Flames make me smile. Toasty warm. Bai now.
