.alone. Again. Why am I not surprised. Leif thought. She sighed again.
"Leif!" her mother called from somewhere in the house.
Leif looked up, startled. She vaulted to the door and wrenched it open.
"What!"
"Someone's here to see you. His name's Cecil."
"Cecil?" Leif muttered, "what?" she slide down the banister, receiving a -look- from her mother. She shrugged.
Cecil sat in the living room, waiting for Leif. He was blind. He had somewhat pale skin and wore dark sunglasses. He grew his dark brown hair at about shoulder length. Cecil never took his glasses off. Although he was blind, he followed Leif's silent movements as if he really could see.
"Yes?" Leif said, breaking the strange silence.
"Well, the other night, I had a very strange dream. I was told to go to you. Because you interpret dreams."
"Oh!" Leif brightened. She loved interpreting. "Um, please, come up to the loft!" she stood, then added, "will you need any-"
"No, no, as long as you have a banister, and I know you do, I'll be fine." he smiled and started for the stairs. Leif followed slower, trying to figure out, just how a blind person could see a banister.
A/N: sorry it's so short, it's a prologue. get used to it. the next one will be longer. if I get any reveiws that encourage me to continue it. not likely sadly....boo hoo....
