Callused hands snaked their way under her shirt and rested on the petite girl's stomach, fingers brushing the skin there with feather-light caresses. Ivory teeth nibbled the flesh underneath her ear, his nose breathing in her scent of lilacs and honeydew. She grunted in annoyance and slapped his hands away and pulled away from the sensual kisses.
"I'm trying to watch television here, buddy." She huffed. "It's very distracting when someone's hands are trying to grope you all over the place."
He released a very tired sigh and pushed the ninja girl off his lap, earning a sharp glare in return.
"What in the world was that for?"
She abruptly stood up and straightened out her clothes whilst dusting herself off.
"You are a horrible boyfriend." She muttered under her breath.
His blazing sea-green eyes glinted brightly. "Don't call me that; I'm not your boyfriend."
"Well, aren't you?" She shot back.
He stood up and stretched out the kinks in his limbs from sitting down too long – that and the springs of the lousy piece of thing he called furniture was beginning to dig into his skin.
"No." He reached for the nearest glass of alcohol. "Remember our agreement?"
The girl scowled. "Agreement or no agreement, you sure acted like one. If what we had was just some sort of fling, you certainly didn't show it."
"And what would you define fling, exactly?"
"You know… the way," she sputtered, searching for words, "that casual thing you have with your other two-bit floozies."
He smirked. "Funny you should say that. I recall someone who acted just like one last night."
She sat down with a grunt, wincing. Stupid couch.
"Remember Miss Kisaragi. What we have is something more than a fling, but what we have does not exceed the point where we need to resort to pet names."
"Then what is it we have then?"
"Mutual comfort." He set the glass down. "Something your group of dipshit buddies wouldn't understand among mine."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
Silence.
"So. What do you want to do?"
Eyes glazed, she muttered something less than audible and stood up. With trembling hands, she reached for his and pulled him by his arm sleeve into the nearest bedroom.
